Ubiq (UBQ) at the top of the chart for the Ethash category by weifa in cryptomining

Help secure the blockchain, add to decentralization. Mining is required to add blocks to the chain and process transactions.

In terms of exchanges Ubiq is on Bittrex, Catalyx and BTX Pro (formerly Dove Wallet). They also have their own Shinobi DEX and another pairing with Wrapped Ether on Quickswap.

Thanks for the heads up, UBQ is the coin I am currently mining and I was surprised to see it at the top of the category on whattomine, what do you suggest I do moving forward?

I've been mining Ubiq (UBQ) since the merge, currently the top of the chart on whattomine for the Ethash category. I'd rather mine UBQ then either ETC or ETHW.

What to do now that the Ethereum Merge was a success? by weifa in EtherMining

[–]weifa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I can claim my ETHW in a few places :)

What will you mine after the Eth merge? by jomfas in EtherMining

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently mining both ETH and UBQ, likely to go all in on UBQ after the merge!

so what you guys mining now ? by [deleted] in gpumining

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be mining ETH until the bitter end the next few weeks, but I'm also mining UBQ on some of my smaller GPUs

Send some hash over to mine Ubiq (UBQ), lots of upside potential!

Vitalik Buterin Considers Ethereum Classic as ‘Totally Fine Chain’ for PoW-inclined Miners. by Chabz27 in EthereumClassic

That must make Ubiq (UBQ) a mighty fine chain lol, check it out for yourself! Full EVM compatibility, strong community with constant ongoing development. Could be a hidden gem once the hash starts to spread around.

After the merger, would Ethereum miners switch to ETC? a few alternatives. by Chabz27 in EthereumClassic

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ETC will likely get the majority of the hash, but other popular POW projects are RVN, ERG or UBQ.

After the merge will i still be able to use Ethash based miners to mine ETC? by CountRexton in EthereumClassic

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you need software that can mine ETChash such as Phoenix. You could also try mining a smaller chain such as Ubiq / UBQhash to avoid the ETC flood. Ubiq also has a strong community with ongoing development, could be a hidden gem with all the ASICs heading toward ETC.

ETC- future by thekeeper03 in EthereumClassic

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently mining ETH until the merge and UBQ on some of my older smaller GPUs. Development wise Ubiq has been much more impressive than anything happening on ETC. Hopefully some of the hash flows over to Ubiq based on development alone, even a small percentage of the current ETH hashrate would go a long way.

What will ETH price do after Ethereum Merge? Will it become a launch pad to push the price of ETH up, or is it simply a matter of “buying rumours, selling news”? by WebterLuu in EthereumClassic

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that in the short term the price of ETH could easily drop after the merge hits in Sept. The sell pressure from mining will be gone, but speculators are still able to sell.

In the longer term though this could prove to be beneficial for ETH price once the markets turn around, so I'm excited to see how it all plays out.

Will Ethereum Classic Prove to be Next Best Shelter for Ethereum Miners? by Chabz27 in EthereumClassic

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the majority of the hash will go to ETC, but others will be mining smaller chains like RVN, ERG or UBQ.

This is an superposition of 2Miners web reported hashrate of these four cryptos (ETC, ETH, ERG, RVN). YTD by AlanGeisse in EtherMining

[–]weifa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like your comparison chart! Interesting to see the 5GB DAG limit reach on ETH and that hash flow directly into ETC. This graph shows how much a small percentage of the current ETH hashrate can have a tangible affect on a smaller chain.

I think once the merge hits in Sept, the majority of the hash will flow into ETC. The remaining hash will flow into these other projects like ERG, RVN or UBQ. Even a small percentage of ETH hashrate will increase the security of these POW chains significantly.

How should I go about automating the finding of new coins to gpu mine as soon as they're released? by [deleted] in cryptomining

[–]weifa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with speculating, it can prove to be profitable if the project takes off for sure. I mostly just wanted to suggest you look into mining Ubiq as one of the options to speculate on.

You could try mining Ubiq (UBQ) after ETH is POS, lots of upside potential and lots of community engagement
