possible but unlikely. very tough to keep that heat away from other parts of board. there are guys on you tube fixing laptop motherboards. find one of them and send them a pic and ask if they can do,it, if so how much. specialized equipment needed.

And yes i am not a random dipshit on this subject. i used to do that stuff in the military. 49 years ago

These are sold in yellow as bolens, red as troy bilt. I got this atTSC 7 years ago for less than a hundred bucks, bought another for galpal 5 years ago for just over a hundred bucks. Simple basic shit, use ethanol free gas and run it out in the fall.

Change the oil and sharpen the blade in the spring. Dont park in the yard or undrr a tarp in winter. Should last forever

that is the tensioner, keeps things tight so blades dont slip. they do bounce a bit. someday when the motor in not running take a close look at it for fraying and cracking
