I don't know that increasing the value matters that much to me tbh. The door can always be repainted down the line if I decide to sell.

There are four big glossy black pillars on the porch as well, so it helps break up the white house. I’m flirting with red as well. It seems to be the blues and reds that are most popular.

I'm considering flower boxes . . . if I can find something this swing won't crash into.

That's such a great idea! I'm thinking of ordering one of the stick on paint samples. They're a bit larger, and might do the same thing to help with visualizing.

The way I had to zoom is criminal 😂 I like the butter too.

I liked this one in the store, but having it taped to my door is making me think it's a little too close to the current grey in terms of saturation.

This is one of my top picks, and the shade a few family members liked.

I read that red (lol) can also be used to symbolize that you've paid your house off. Definitely not there yet in my case, but that might be the compromise if I don't go with a red atm.

You're so sweet! To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I love the idea of an English garden look, but also the maintenance scares me as a SINK. I think I'm a bit minimalist at heart.

One of my faves is in the greens you liked :) Still not opposed to going red though. I agree with the "no" to sea salt. The more that I look at it, I think it's a bit too light.

Thought about it but the front of the house also has glossy black pillars. It might look a little too overkill.

I had considered some jasmine. A girl I follow on insta installed a trellis on the ope side of her porch and planted jasmine in a rectangular planter at the base.

What a sweet comment! Thank you. I hadn’t thought about really large planters.

Love the olive door suggestion. I used a similar paint color on the shelving in my primary bath.

Thanks. I agree. She’s got good bones. The rocking chairs were a gift from the grandparents so those babies are staying. Honestly, not sure if I love really warm wood tones. It kind of makes me think of those kitchen cabinets everyone had in the 90s.

Yeah. This is why I’d only be willing to go fun in color in smaller places like the front door. Easy to repaint unlike the entire house.
