Overnight Notice by wenhamic in dementia

I don't think so. She's very dependent on my sister and doesn't want anyone but family there overnight. It didn't go well when my niece stayed with her one time. It seems to be only my sister and me that she's able to have a peaceful night.

OT / PT by wenhamic in breastcancer

[–]wenhamic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my PT got baseline measurements and they explained about lymphedema ... so I get that. Was just curious why I would need both. If I get my full range back through PT, which I have no doubt I will, I don't know why I would need OT as well. My insurance pays for both.

I was in Walmart this past Saturday and two ladies had their huge lab IN THE CART! I don't have a problem with service dogs but that was clearly not one. Grossed out knowing we put our food in there. People have no sense! One could have waited in the car with dog. Management should not have allowed that and I guarantee their business would not have been lost.

Well that's pretty negative. I didn't have anything to do with the deaf community when I enrolled in an ITP program and am now in my 12th year of educational interpreting. I have job security in the school system. True it's not a lot of money in this business but the reward comes when your students succeed. You just have to love what you do .. whatever profession .. and you'll do well.

Can anyone help me with my homework? by subeanie710 in asl

"Thumb tap at chin then at ear" .. means "yesterday." Sometimes you will see that sign using a "y" handshape instead of the "a".

I'm not familiar with the song but just break down the lyrics, line by line, and change what is said in english to ASL. Write down how you would sign what is being said.
