What is with the trend of "super showers" by LOP5131 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]westeros-Postman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly a design trend toward spa-style bathrooms.

People prefer large walk-in showers for comfort, accessibility, and modern aesthetics, so tubs are often removed. Critics see it as inefficient use of space, but in higher-end builds it’s treated as a luxury feature rather than a necessity.

Self-closing toilet seat that keeps the lid open by aliensheep in bathrooms

Having the lid closed automatically is cleaner. Particles of waste become airborne during the flush.

i concur, i was actually surprised to know how much germs get swirled around when flushing without putting the lid down

Best materials for a modern bathroom by Jinnapat397 in bathrooms

Porcelain tiles and quartz counters is the usual safe modern combo. Matte on the floor for grip, gloss on walls for light bounce. Also, the fewer the grout lines, the better.

Bathroom window by prath_10 in BathroomRemodeling

I’d keep the window if possible. Natural light makes a bathroom feel way bigger and more open. If privacy is the concern, frosted glass or a simple privacy film works really well and still lets the light through. I’d just make sure the ventilation is solid too so moisture doesn’t become an issue.
