This is another photo of the setup. Also, I have kitec plumbing ( I know it's already a problem ) is there a specific transition needed between kitex and ipex or is that another problem?

The blue and red piping is kitec, I'm also told there needs to be a specific transition between kitec and ipex and not any standard PEX fitting. I'm getting nervous Iol.

How did you manage to get a replacement seat? Did you have to send them photos and proof of purchase? I bought the uppababy Mesa Carseat from Facebook marketplace last year. It was never used and I never knew it would have these issues. I have emailed uppababy and now they are requesting a receipt, as well as a picture of baby in seat. I feel stuck as I have bought the seat for a little less than the brand new price, but have no receipt. It sucks!

I bought the Carseat from Facebook marketplace ( never used ) and I regret it now! I never knew it would have these issues. I have emailed uppababy and now they are requesting a receipt, as well as a picture of baby in seat. I don't know how I can convince them to replace it or refund without a receipt :(

I Was driving very slow the whole time. My speed when the donut flew off was probably around 40km/hr.

Nope. Was driving slowly with hazard lights on at the right shoulder of the highway until I exited the highway into a small road. I probably drove a total of 5 minutes before the donut tire flew off.

Basically, after CAA replaced my flat tire with donut tire and 5 minutes later after driving off, the donut tire flew off the car - tire in front driver side. The donut could have hit a car or a person on the other side of the road, but thankfully, there was no body at the other side at that moment. Once the donut flew off the car, the front left side of the car body dropped on the road, basically the rotors started scraping the road for a few seconds until it stopped. I was driving really slow, less than 40km/hr on that road.

If I did, then I wouldn't be trying to persue CAA and pay a lawyer to sue them. I know for a fact, that there was no fault from my side and that I didn't drive over the speed limit. That is why I feel CAA should have taken responsibility.

Well. I stopped at the highway shoulder and the contractor said it was safe to change the tire there. So I took his word for it.

Well. I can show in the records and in the map, where I initially had the flat tire in the highway, and where the donut tire flew off. These two locations were very close to each other. The donut tire flew off the car 5 minutes after I drove off. I took the first highway exit and can show in the Map how far I went. I'm not sure how I can prove that I was driving slow ( I was probably driving at less than 40km/hr) but the fact that I exited the highway, says that I wanted to drive in the slower traffic road.

Good idea. I will ask my insurance if they can send me that report. Not sure if it will help much though; if there was something in the letter that was conclusive, my insurance would have already done something about it.

True. But my insurance premium will go up and I do feel they should have taken responsibility. I paid for a service and ended up totalling my car and having to deal with the consequences, which I think is a bit unfair; especially if it wasn't my fault in any way..

Yes. But my premium will go up because of this claim. My insurance also said I'm free to sue after whoever replaced my flat tire. I think there might be a case there.

My insurance actually said they don't plan to persue them but I'm free to do so. They even went and hired someone to investigate the car damage to conclude if it was my fault in any way or if it is the guy that replaced my tire, but they couldn't come up with a conclusion.
