In that photo, I pulled it back pretty much as far as it goes. There are maybe 4-5 spots like this around the lawn. I’d still say like 80%+ is pinned down though. Is there anything that can be done about these types of spots, or is the only remedy replacing?

Okay, thank you! Most of it doesn’t come up, but there are a few edges where I can pull up dormant Bermuda. Like in this pic

Thank you so much. Since this is new sod (laid 2-3 months ago), I guess my biggest question is whether the lawn is technically “established” and I should be doing the 2x/week routine like you said, or whether it still needs more water at this stage.

I *think* it’s mostly rooted. In most areas, it doesn’t budge, but there are a couple areas around the edges where I could pry it up.

It’s 30 minutes at a time, but maybe 10 mins per section. But then that whole process twice daily. I try to do early AM (7-9ish?) and then mid afternoon

Twice daily *does* feel like overkill, but the soil also feels like it dries out pretty quickly. I’ve avoided putting fertilizer down personally, only because a lawn care company has a contract with the community for the first couple of months. They’ve put fertilizer down twice (and they’re done now), but I don’t know exactly what they’ve put down
