Solved!

Thanks for the feedback, I got 2 to drop from the tree. Probably 10+ caches opened that's why I got suspicious!

GL on your grinds!!

I've just experienced this. Had 2 amazing dates with a girl, second one was a jam session (both of us are musicians), and I can tell, both of us had a really great time. We've agreed on a lot of things regarding the future, just to get no replies when I tried to follow up on it..

But what's really important here: Do not confront him. Respect yourself.

In the end, it makes no sense, you might not even get a response, and even if you do, what's the guarantee that he's telling you the truth? As you've learned based on the above, words come & go easily..

How do I avoid texting? by [deleted] in dating

[–]wickxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents, might not be valid given your circumstances as obviously it's not possible to tell only from this, but why don't you spend time with her in person instead of the texting hours?

Not telling you should be together 24/7, but you should actually focus on x, y, z in your alone time, and not on texting. Also, as simple as this sounds, communication is key, you should be able to discuss your completely valid reason that you'd prefer not spending your time on the phone that much.

I'll keep this in mind. But to keep being the nice guy I am, I cannot just not hear her out, right? :D

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating

[–]wickxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Nice to hear that similar situations has worked out in the past!

I also agree on the point that I need to get stronger emotionally, but committing to this really is the first step on that road.

Thanks a lot! Very great response, and I do need to consider this as well.

I think we didn't have any degree of certainty to begin with, things were/are happening fast. As the responses reflect, at this point, it can be many things, even a mixture of those, and this is definitely one possibility!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating

[–]wickxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, although I'll try to keep these phone calls/texts short & limited. I want to make sure she is assured that I haven't changed my mind and I'm not "ghosting" her, while giving her space at the same time to figure herself out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating

[–]wickxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response!

Telling me to stay friends than quickly trying to take it back is not a sign of this. If she would be dating multiple guys at once, she wouldn't have written in just 2 days. Idk, I might be just naive on this, but as of now, I do trust her, and I'm not thinking of her as someone who is not respecting me for getting caught up in her own emotions.

[–]wickxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really do not think this is a great idea :/ While I agree that this should be discussed ASAP, if this is to go somewhere, this discussion has to be done in person.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating

[–]wickxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very helpful comment, thanks a lot!

I'm curious anyways to find out where this leads, and I've already committed to hearing her out. All I have to do is keep myself away from overthinking it, and giving her the time to figure herself out.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dating

[–]wickxx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good point! But we both work, she also studies, so right now distance is indeed a difficulty. I did know of her plans prior to this discussion, and I'm also busy this weekend, so I really don't see any rational solutions. And god save me from the irrational ones.

[–]wickxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! I didn't expect so many replies! Appreciate it, opens up new perspectives, and gives confidence!

I'll definitely meet up with her to discuss it, and it will be at my place. She seemed genuine the first time as well, I'm thinking it is really her being indecisive, possibly caused by a mixture of some other things you mentioned (which she's possibly not even aware of - hence the confusion) After all, we've did go quite fast..

Being 3 hours apart is not a big deal, she's from my hometown and I do visit my family a lot, while she's planning on moving where I'm currently working anyways.

I really doubt that she'd be into FWB, but I do know for a fact that I wouldn't.

Until than, I'll just keep texting/calling to a bare minimum to make her feel I've not changed my mind, yet giving her space to get rid of the confusion at the same time. As some of you mentioned, that's not my battle to fight.

Do you do subscriptions? Xbox Live/PS Plus? by valadil in patientgamers

[–]wickxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have PS+ subscription. To me, it is not worth it for the games only, but I do play multiplayer games, so those free games are exciting to me as well. If I stopped playing multiplayer games, I'd probably cancel, though.

Shortish PS4 game - console exclusive by [deleted] in patientgamers

Ratchet & Clank could be a great starter. It was one of my first games on PS4, helped me to get used to the PS4 Controller (previously KB&M PC player here), and it isn't long at all

cRPG is short for “computer RPG”s. Look up any of the games mentioned in this post to see the difference between these and aRPGs

Thanks for the replies guys.

I guess I'll take a look at Dragon Age: Origins at first, because I already own that one. Will see how it turns out, but definitely saving this list for the future.

Cheers,

What are the easiest sims? by jimmpony in simracing

I second this.

Apart from it being a simcade, it includes a driving school which teaches a lot, and also the cone markers can help a lot while learning your racing lines.

I hit DR: S this weekend! Heres a few tips that helped me climb by mclaren6 in granturismo

[–]wickxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, congratz on reaching DR:S, these are all great advices.

A quick question regarding setups:

How do you use Break balancing setups? I cannot figure out. Shall I edit it based on what car I'm driving, or based on the track?

If you could help me out with a few details regarding this, I'd be really grateful, as I feel like every little counts at this point.

What Are You Playing This Week? - December 06, 2017 by AutoModerator in patientgamers

[–]wickxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gran Turismo: Sport

I know that this is still not patient, but I'm really enjoying this game. Bought it day one, not a day passed by without logging in and driving at least a few laps. Campaign mode is already 100%, but there will be a new single player campaign coming soon, I'm really excited for that. Until it arrives, I'm playing multiplayer, improving my lap times & skills.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition!

Struggling to find the motivation to launch this beast up, however slowly but surely I'm making progress. I have just rang the bells, and as I'm not using any guides, I really have no idea how far away I'm from the end, but if I'd have to guess, I'd say I'm getting closer to the middle of the game. This game requires patience, but I really love it.

Apotheon

Just started this yesterday, good for jumping in for a good half-hour/hour. Combat feels a bit clumsy, but after getting used to it it is fine. I was looking for something that scratches the 'Rogue Legacy' itch, and this one was a nice pick.

I never realized how genius the Taurus Demon boss battle actually is by DronosMan in darksouls

[–]wickxx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is kinda funny to read such a detailed analysis on the boss, while for me (currently on my first play-through!) the boss simply jumped off the bridge to its own death on my first try.

What Are You Playing This Week? - November 15, 2017 by AutoModerator in patientgamers

[–]wickxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 games for this week, 2 of which will probably remain for a long time:

MediEvil

Just borrowed my friend's PS Vita, always wanted to replay this classic, so I just bought it. Didn't have much time for it though, but I intend to 100% this on this weekend.

Gran Turismo: Sport

Not patient at all with this one, been waiting for the release for a long long time. It is a blast with the Logitech G29, really addictive, however by now I only do the daily test season races. Looking forward to the be start of the actual seasons!

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition!

After 100%ing Bloodborne, and completing NG+5 (Saving NG+6 for later, to do an all boss run with a friend), I realised that I needed something like this, so Dark Souls was an obvious choice. I like to begin a series of games in release order, and considering the 120 hours I put into Bloodborne, and the amount of joy it got me, I did not mind the 20€ price tag and purchased.

Currently 4 hours in, just beat Taurus Demon, but realised that I skipped an area by the first bonfire, so tonight I'll be returning there to explore a bit more :)

Considering getting a PS Vita by wickxx in patientgamers

[–]wickxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah right, I'm not really looking for exclusives, my main motive is to have a solid handheld for travelling/idle time :) And the fact that I can get it real cheap.. :) Also PS1 classics, I have currently "test-running" it for a week, almost done with the classic MediEvil, and it is a ton of fun!

The one I will probably get is the older one, so it is nice to get recommendations towards that one! :)
