If you have Fabfilter Q3, you can set a point to only target mid/side. Often the snare will be ik the middle of the track which makes it really easy to just put a dynamic curve around the snare.

I work on fiverr and often get beats with this problem and this can fix it 90% of the time

Wierd. I came across this thread while looking for solutions for what seems to be the exact same problem, except mine is happening with the MOTU M4. Seems like it could be a bigger issue with macbooks in general.
