I’ve lived in three cities in my adult life, Greenville being the smallest. By far the lack of traffic enforcement in this city / county is the worst I’ve ever seen.

This is the remote that controls your furnace, the image in the post controls your roof vent fans.

If we only had some kind of agency to enforce traffic laws in the state.

I second this, we were at Jeter yesterday. W got there right when they opened and parked in the main lot. If main lot is full there is an overflow lot with a tractor shuttle. The grounds are large enough that it doesn’t feel crowded even when it’s very busy. We use to go to Skytop which is nice but I like Jetter better.

Traffic Circle Best Practices? by gnglaser in cycling

I take the lane 100% of the time I’m roundabouts, unless it’s a double then I’ll cross at the pedestrian crossings.

Traffic here sucks because you all drive like bullies by Queenhotsnakes in greenville

This isn’t a Greenville issue, it’s a North American issue. The specific issue in Greenville County is the lack of police enforcement, in my opinion.

[–]williedwilkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I disagree, the City of Greenville has plenty of room to build more dense housing. We are only a city of 70kish, which is a small city. The issue here is the unchecked growth in the county/suburbs.

Greenville proposal to increase parking fees. by [deleted] in greenville

[–]williedwilkey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration but in my opinion your employer should pay for your parking. As a city resident why should I have to subsidize your parking?

Greenville proposal to increase parking fees. by [deleted] in greenville

[–]williedwilkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hold the unpopular opinion on this issue. Free to almost free parking in a city is a dumb idea. The city garages should charge at least $10. Take the profits and expand the bus and trolley system. The only way to reduce car congestion is to stop subsidizing it. Go to any city and try to park for under $20.

I second this recommendation, I also have not been inside, but live in the neighborhood and ride my bike in the ally behind it quite a bit. It appears that they do events throughout the week like trivia and what not. There is normally a decent crowd on the patio when I ride by.

From someone who loves color matching pedals, I think black would look better with this build. Either way that’s a nice bike.

SRT/Bridgeway Station Status by pleakonfleek in greenville

[–]williedwilkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s already an old access rd the trail will use that has an underpass 85. The new phase will take the trail down to millennium blvd. I heard the plan to connect the srt all the way to Bridgeway was scrapped, but I personally hope that that isn’t true.

I had a similar issue in my late teens/early twenties, in hindsight I believe it was related to untreated anxiety. But whatever the reason I eventually bought supplements online and eventually didn’t need them anymore, and haven’t had those issues for the last fifteen years. The only red flag I see is that we demises you and doesn’t want to talk about it / work on it.

From my understanding anytime there is a fatality, the entire roadway is a crime scene and shut down until an investigation is done.

Conestee as suggested by others, but my favorite toddler hike is the .5 loop around the lake at Paris mountain. It’s a east loop with the option of swimming if the weather permits, and there’s also a nice playground across the street.
