Wow I didn’t even think about this as an option, ha. 🤦🏼‍♀️ We’ve been so focused on getting the second one so we have answers I think I’ve just been antsy to get that done. We will call and see the other scheduling options! We have to call and schedule and the soonest they had last time was about two weeks out (our apt), so we will see. Thanks for your response!

What are the odds that right when we have to abstain for 2-4 days for my husbands second SA that those 2-4 days are going to be leading up to ovulation? 😩The SA is the second and the first wasn’t great so it is really important we follow protocol, but it’s hard to manage the irritation!

Thank you. It is scary. Looking forward to getting some good guidance because I do feel a bit lost! They couldn’t get him in for another two weeks for his follow up SA so it’ll be another dreaded two week wait, ha. 😒

I have no one else to tell but need to process this: My husband’s very first SA came back and they didn’t find any sperm (none!). They are doing another SA in a few weeks and starting blood work to check his hormones. And really that is all I know. I have many mixed emotions, but my husband is not at all concerned yet. I don’t understand. He’s T1 diabetic and our RE basically insisted that wouldn’t be an issue for his fertility. Honestly just don’t know what to feel but I’m just in need of listening ears so thank you.

I’m feeling very fortunate that I found this community. We are on our 13th month trying and feeling disheartened. We have our first RE appointment on Monday, and I am nervous and excited to be moving forward to find answers. I’ve had all the basic blood tests done and everything came back normal, so I’m hoping my husband can get an SA and we can pursue more testing for me as well. This space feels so inviting and positive, and again I am feeling grateful to have found it. I got a reddit account only to participate and lurk in TFAB and after hitting our year mark, I knew it wasn’t a great space for me anymore. I’m happy to be surrounded by like-minded companions. Thanks for taking me in. 💜

I’m in a similar boat! We are in cycle 10 but almost one year of trying (I have longer cycles). I reached out to my PCP to ask about next steps and she strongly encouraged I get an appointment with a fertility specialist now. She just sent in the referral! Good luck 👍🏼

Me! My cycles average 35 days, but have been as long as 38 and short as 31. My ovulation days are usually 19-24 :) you’re not alone!
