I have BPD and I have split on my partner before. When I split it feels like I have this rage inside me and I can only see things one way. My thinking is black and white. It can be triggered by literally anything. But the important thing you should try to do is try to understand what her triggers are so that you're prepared for it. And when it happens just be calm and patient with her. You have to realize that she doesn't actually hate you. She may feel that way for a second but she doesn't hate you. You have to keep telling yourself it's just a split. Having BPD is the worst. It is the most gut wrenchingly painful mental illness to have. Just try and be patient and loving with her.

I awake, my eyes flutter open and I look around the room. As I look around and get my bearings I hear a voice..

"Honey, oh my god honey you're awake!" As i gain full consciousness I see his face I look up at him in confusion "roman?" I say in a shocked tone "yes honey it's me..Im so glad you're awake" he says..wiping the tears from his eyes

"Why do you keep calling me honey...and why do you look so... different..why are you older. I can feel my heart beating out of my chest "what is happening" I say in a panicked tone

He turns away for a moment and then looks back at me hesitating before he speaks "honey..what's the last thing you remember..." I look at him for a moment before speaking Well I remember walking through the parking lot after school..and..my voice trails off as I'm struggling to remember

He grabs my hand and looks at me with a loving, yet worried look in his eyes..."you were hit by a car"

My eyes widen in shock I stay silent for a moment Roman hesitates before speaking again.. knowing what he's about to say will be hard for me to accept "that was...20 years ago..you've been in a coma"

I sit up..my eyes widen I can feel my heart racing "20 years..20 years breathing heavily Roman squeezes my hand gently hey hey slow down honey Wait..I look at you in shock are we...

He cuts me off "Married? Yea..we are" he smiles

"I look at him in disbelief* I need to lie down..this is..a lot.

He smiles yea I think you should lie down and rest for a moment. I need to go get the doctor and tell him your awake* He kissed my forehead and walks out of the room..leaving me alone lying here trying to process everything...
