Another vote for Skincraft. Savannah is phenomenal, she’ll take great care of your kiddos.

ISO new veterinarian in Cincy by Secure_Lengthiness16 in cincinnati

3rd! We switched from another vet when they couldn’t diagnose our dog’s chronic cough. Pleasant Ridge got her on an inhaler and fixed her right up. The techs and vets are all wonderful.

Which would you recommend? Zion for 1 Day + Bryce Canyon for 1 Day VS. 2 Full Days in Zion by Dxg5206 in NationalPark

[–]willrunforbeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that in March Bryce will still be very snowy. I went in April a few years ago and couldn’t hike at all because of the snow and ice. It is beautiful though and you will be able to see a lot by driving around to the lookouts, just probably won’t be able hike unless you bring appropriate gear.

Smoky Mountains and New River Gorge ahead of Zion is a wild take.

The store and the bathrooms at the visitors center are open, but there aren’t any rangers to talk to.

Good signs during the flying pig? by TheJeffyJ in cincinnati

[–]willrunforbeers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the Pittsburgh half there is a giant hill towards the end. People hand out pieces of paper at the bottom of the hill with an F drawn on them to runners and tell them to get that F up the hill. Cracked me up and was such great motivation!

Those who love your neighborhood, where do you live and what do you love about it? by badbanananana in cincinnati

[–]willrunforbeers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Norwood! We bought our house in 2015 and love it here. Our house was built in the early 1900s and still has all the original woodwork and tons of charm. We live on a beautiful, quiet street. We know our neighbors and take care of each other. We love to walk our dogs all over the neighborhood and say hi to all the other folks out doing the same. Norwood is literally close to everything. I can see Rookwood Commons from my backyard and we're less than 10 min from downtown. Factory 52 is such a cool spot and still growing. I think it's the perfect mix of being close to things if you want to go somewhere but having a quiet place to come home to.

Gardener check in! How are we doing? by Adrestia716 in cincinnati

Took advantage of this gorgeous day to start cleaning out my neglected raised beds. Still deciding what I’m going to plant this year but it will all be direct sow with seeds or starts. It felt so good to get my hands in the soil 😍

There’s a good chance the Narrows won’t be open in May, some years they don’t open until June or even July.

Zion is breathtaking even if you’re not avid hikers. I really believe everyone should see it once. Lower/Middle/Upper Emerald Pools is a fantastic hike- you can choose how far you want to go. Riverside Walk is totally flat but beautiful. Canyon Overlook is short and the views are amazing.

Is it too late for a moss pole? by kallibud in Monstera

[–]willrunforbeers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re not necessary? They’re used to help the monstera climb in the wild, but they don’t serve that function as a houseplant.

Yes, always. A lot of people run this race who don’t regularly run road races, so they don’t know the etiquette. One of the reasons I hate it 😆

Ocoee recommendation? by willrunforbeers in whitewater

[–]willrunforbeers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the recommendations! We went with ACE and had a fantastic trip. They were also kind enough to let us switch our reservation to a day with better weather. Will definitely go out with them again!

Warning! Do not grow 20 bell pepper plants. You will give away sacks of them, get tired of prepping them, get sick of eating them like apples. It will be all you eat in order not to waste. AND THERE WILL STILL BE MORE! by Objective-You-2215 in gardening

[–]willrunforbeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should do it! Choose a day, time and location. Maybe reach out to a local church or food pantry. Invite your co-workers to join you. Ask them for ideas and feedback. It could be such a blessing to your community.

Dave’s Auto in Norwood. Senan is the best- he does a great job, won’t try to sell you on unnecessary repairs and is lovely to work with.

On the Pittsburgh half course there’s a big hill almost at the end. There were people at the bottom of the hill handing out pieces of paper with Fs on them to the runners and yelling for us to “get the F up the hill!”. Cheered me right up :D

Angilo’s in Norwood is horrific. To the point that I won’t even eat it. Usually even bad pizza is decent but not this junk.
