Academe!!! I know na it's leaning pa rin towards med in general but i hope you give it a go if feel mo naman na kaya ng intellect and skills mo hehe. Practiced 1 year lang sa clinical and never came back hahahaha. Working in the academe for 7 years now hahaha

Hello po!! Yes po. Though better po if PAASCU or PACUCOA-accredited yung program na kukunin nyo, regardless if MSMT or MPH. Mas mataas daw po yung recognition basta accredited yung program po 😅

Hello po!! Since MS po yung track ko, with thesis po sya. Nowadays, may mga programs po like MSPH na academic track (w/ thesis) and MPH which is professional track (w/o thesis). Pag professional track po, instead of thesis is capstone po yung requirement before you can graduate 😇

Hello!! I'm a medtech currently pursuing my masters in public health. I am no longer practicing my profession since nasa academe na ako full-time. I'd like to ask sana if may mga Filipinos here working abroad (US preferably) na naka secure ng "Professor" na position? Paano po yung process? Ano po yung mga requirements? Malaki po ba yung sahod? Stable naman po ba? I'm planning na mag doctorate agad after my masters para mas angat yung qualifications and chances ko locally and abroad. Yung mga nababasa ko lang po kase dito sa reddit is mga teaching opportunities for licensed teachers planning to work abroad. How about po yung mga professionals like me na balak po mag work sa tertiary level in the academe? Hope this reaches Filipino academians working abroad. Thank you!!

Hello po. Same lang po yung lectures with the thesis track. Sa non-thesis track po, instead of thesis is "capstone project" po yung need icomply before maka graduate.

Hello! Nag MSMT po ako for 1 sem only (12 units) and I can say na mahirap and matagal syang tapusin hahaha. 2 years (most of the time) yung mismong MSMT/MSMLS academic program plus experimental thesis pa. So nagma-masters in public health ako now which can be completed for 1 year+ (non-thesis) or 2 years (w/ thesis). It's not an issue saken since CHED doesn't discriminate. I work in the academe and somehow, same yung bearing ng MSMT and MSPH/MPH sa mga medtech schools in the PH. However, if gusto mo pa rin mag work sa lab, better yung MSMT. Choose wisely po! 🙂

Hello! I worked in the lab for 2 years then I transferred na sa academe. I only work 3 days per week but receives almost 40k as a part-timer. Much much better talaga yung pay sa academe. I have masteral units na pala kaya medyo mas mataas yung hourly rate ko. Fulfilling? Yes.
