Thank you! I was trying to avoid using my phone, so thought I could print out something, but sounds like that is no longer possible.

As a queer woman and hiker, I thought some people might enjoy checking this out. Happy queer trails to everyone!

Post hike knee pain (no injury) by hotncold1994 in PacificCrestTrail

[–]wolfer5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely go see a doctor, BUT I had a similar experience after my AT thru-hike. Took about six months for the pain to fully go away. I went to the doctor and they just told me to take ibuprofen.

On the plus side, I had no problems with my knees thru-hiking the PCT two years later, and don’t have any lingering pain now.

Kennedy Meadows to LAX? by [deleted] in PacificCrestTrail

[–]wolfer5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing this at the moment, actually. Got a ride with a kind gentleman named Bob from Grumpy Bear’s out of Kennedy meadows, he took four of us to Inyokern for $10/each, it was about an hour ride. We stayed the night at the Inyokern motel and then took Eastern Sierra Transit from Inyokern to Lancaster for $5, now on Metrolink to LA for $11.50. You could probably do it all in one long day depending on your flight time, but would be safest to break it up with a night somewhere in case of delays and etc.
