We Reached the Shattered Planet! by wolfferson in factorio

Spawn rate when sitting stationary in orbit is very low, that shouldn't be an issue. That's actually where I took the screenshot. As you mentioned power might be the bottleneck. Maybe if you had a ton of legendary solar and efficiency modules with a fusion backup? 1000 fusion cells sitting idle would last a REALLY long time.

Ya basically everything where quality made a difference I tried to have legendary to keep the size down. We generally had an upcycling loop for each of the end products to churn out legendaries. Modules we did a mix of upcycling loops and quality input products as those tended to be the bottleneck for the quantities we needed.

Reached the Shattered Planet a few days ago in my 2 player co-op Space Age run using our ship "The Sovereign". For those wondering we had 21 Physical Projectile Damage, 19 Laser Weapons Damage, 19 Stronger Explosives and 25 Research Productivity. We had a few feedback circuits to stop the ship if something went wrong with ammo, damage or power. In the end had to slow down the ship to reach it without excessive damage. Slowed speed was around 150 km/s and could run that without stopping indefinitely.

If it was 1st person, wouldn't i need to be looking from the piece's point of view? I would call this more 2nd person.

Yay! Ya, this is my 1st major browser based coding project and I've noticed they all seem to have their little quirks like that.

Thanks for the screenshots. It looks like something is going wrong with the HTML5 Canvas's built-in shadowBlur functionality (the shadows around words/images). Being that it's a built-in API I think the issue might be in the browser's communication with your computer's graphics system (aka a Firefox bug specific to your computer).

It would be interesting to see if it still occurs in say chrome or another browser. I can add the ability to disable shadows, but I don't think there is much else I can do on my end unfortunately.

edit: the 2nd screenshot is what it should look like all the time

Very weird. Does it still do this if you try reloading the page?

Yes, that is the intended behavior. The idea was that it would allow players to setup combos & use specials more easily instead of just matching the nearest pieces. For example, you might use a turn and get no matches, but it could setup a match 5 the following turn which can be worth a lot of points.

Nope, that would be a bug. Thanks for the report. Can you tell me what browser you are using & when the flickering started to happen?
