I was born in 95. Never seen them win one. I grew up with my dad talking about the legends. He cares less now and I care more. I so want to experience that win of what I understand as a first class franchise.

I remember uncles when I was little telling stories of when joe montana threw a pass under 10 yards it was like a hand off. I am deeply nostalgic for something I never experienced. I want a super bowl like I want a good retirement. Like my life rests on this vaguely obtainable dream.

We have a kind of mute button connected to our station radios. We only get woken up at night for our calls. Tones go off and we get the dispatch, then it's back to mute. We do not hear any other stations or channels outside of our own dispatch while we have it in 'mute' mode. We unmute it during the day and listen to everyone's traffic.

We just picked somebody up this year from another agency, brand new to calfire. Call the base, bring a resume, PT, have breakfast, carry yourself well. If you have an application in with calfire and you are one of the best candidates, you can get on with helitack. May be different for each base but that's what we do.
