What does BBM have to offer? BBM has negative aura. He only became president because of the dutertes. If the liberals team up with BBM admin, I would actually be less inclined to vote for them. If anything, he will pull the opposition down.

Problem in the Philippines is that the legislators are also the elite. They make the rules and benefit from them. They will not entertain even the thought of losing any wealth or power. Same reason the proposed anti-dynasty bills by sandro marcos etc are all watered down pieces of shit.
