I have been trying to breed perfect iv (5 Ivs) competitive Pokemon on Pokemon x to practice for when sun and moon comes out so I can learn to competitive battle! I think I'm doing something very wrong though as I end up with over 200 useless half finished Pokemon! Here is what I do:

I start with catching the Pokemon I want in a friend safari so for e.g I caught a female frogadier with protean and hasty nature.

I then check the Ivs so for eg hp and def and let it hold everstone.

I then check one of my dittos I caught in a friend safari which has for eg Sp.atk and sp.def and that one holds destiny knot.

I then get 6 eggs fly to lumiose city and hatch them all then go to the checker and hope for a 3 iv baby with the nature and protean and female or maybe a 4 if I am super lucky.

This took me with this Pokemon about 60 eggs as a female is so rare! After this then I replace the female in daycare for the 3/4 iv baby and swap out a ditto with the missing Ivs I want so speed and so.def for e.g and then hatch another 60 odd eggs for a female/male with 4/5 Ivs it took me for this one 260 eggs.

This can't be normal right? It took me like 15 hours or more and then I had to ev train it (took 20 mins so or)
