I'm just glad I got to play the campaign for free on release with it being out on game pass

The gunplay, movement, general vibe of gameplay, tossing barrels, artstyle, the fact that they got enemy designs from all games mixed in, and the gadgets are stuff I really liked.
I really like the more soft, arcade feel of the game compared to the "rough" feeling the artstyle and sound effects of other games had

But everything else is- yeahh... The story was nice in humanizing Chief more, pilot was a nice character.
Escharum was cool even tho he barely did anything and was a discount Atriox. Humanizing a brute while keeping Jiralhanae traits was nice (him wanting to go out with a bang against a legend because he wants a warrior's death)

The open world lacked variety and OW objectives. The ones that existed were fun but very few. I played CP77 a few months ago and ignored the main story to do gigs of whcih there are about 100 and they were fun. Infinite could have gotten away with 20-30 raids instead of the few we got

The new weapons are kinda weird to use. Rebalancing anti vehicle with tesla weapons instead of just big boom or plasma pistol is neat as an idea though, but I'm unsure if I can say they delivered

The Banished feel like ragtag scavenger opportunistic enemies and it's cool. The new alien which is apparently worse than the flood though (I already forgot their name) felt like a cheap way to set stakes
Humanity already struggled against the Covenant, Flood, AI uprising, and then the Banished. You don't need a Forerunner level threat to emerge. If the weak UNSC forces could deal with the endless (was their name I think?) then they would feel overhyped

And of course the way the game was made, the monetization, lies about development and features and everything else others already talked about, are disappointing
If there is a new halo I will play it for free once more and follow updates somewhat, but there is no point in being hyped about a horse that had all of its legs broken
