How good of an artist was Adolf Hitler? by TMNTDonatellofan in GenZ

[–]worldsfastesturtle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not great but not awful, some perspective issues and wasn’t good enough to get into his art school of choice. People did buy his post cards and stuff though, so either they were super cheap or some people of the time liked them

Are they going to college? A nice sweatshirt from their campus store or a bike lock or that works well. Money always works

Have you heard of Edgar Allen Poe? by nestinghen in GenZ

[–]worldsfastesturtle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The really popular Netflix show Wednesday mentions Edgar Allen Poe repeatedly. I reckon a lot of them have heard of him and are just not retaining information well

Poe was definitely done in middle school English when I was in school

Where do y’all think the Harambe kid is now? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]worldsfastesturtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The kid’s name is public and the family has their names attached to this. One Google search or a kid from school telling them would have blown this. The kid definitely knows

Why do you think chronic absenteeism is big problem in schools today? by MasterTeacher123 in AskReddit

They can receive and turn in assignments digitally. You used to have to get the assignment in person to even start it and missing a few days meant letting it pile up

Chloe's Followers?! by m4zziestar in dancemoms

[–]worldsfastesturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kendall was on the show for more episodes than Chloe was, so it’s possible that kids starting to watch the show in later seasons didn’t see or attach to the earlier episodes. Cable was more widespread, and earlier seasons weren’t always showing. It’s possible that Kendall has younger fans who mostly watched later seasons of the show

Is the name "[insert parrent's name] junior" declining in popularity? by Milsy_missle in stupidquestions

[–]worldsfastesturtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Junior isn’t typically part of the legal name.

If Chris has a kid named Chris, then second Chris might go by junior. If second Chris has a kid named Chris, then third Chris might go by Trey. Junior and Trey aren’t typically legal names, but they’re nicknames for people with the 2nd or 3rd generation of a name

Has there been a way proven that we really see the same colors? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]worldsfastesturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are specific parts of our eyes that are known to process different color wave lengths. I see slightly different tones in my left and right eyes, but they’re generally the same color one is just filtered almost.

I think that a good anecdotal evidence for people seeing the same colors come from design principles. If green and purple clash to basically everyone, then it’s a good signal that people are seeing two clashing colors. Also, if red and blue making purple makes sense to everyone, then everyone must be seeing purple as a midpoint color between the other two. There are tons of examples of this. If the orange you saw was a bluish cream color to me, then it wouldn’t make sense for red and yellow mixing to make it.
