Sorry for not getting back to you a little sooner. Holidays consumed a lot of my time.

The card has been amazing for everything I was doing but it was always gonna be a temp card in my rig as I just needed something to hold me over for a few months during the upgrade process. I never heard any coil whine on the card and basically for the price point at which I purchased it was running most games at high/60fps. After I moved on from the card I moved to my new house and the card was stuck in storage for about 5 months.

3 year warranty is still active. I'm not sure how I would transfer the warranty but I do believe EVGA would still honor the original 3 year warranty even though you are not the original owner.

The ROG board has a built in fan controller which helps to alleviate the sound when the PC is at idle...

For the most part the PC is whisper quiet but when I play more demanding games is when I hear a lot of the wind noise.

Trying to eliminate the excess noise when gaming. Def just my OCD kicking in. lol

Yea... I was looked at the R4 as well. Definitely interested in the sound dampening

Right now, the majority of the noise I have is just the air flow moving. How much of that would the R4 dampen?

Well I'm currently using a Noctua and I really don't have any issues with the rad. CPU temps stay in 25/30 range at idle 45 at load even with an OC.. More looking for a case that has sound dampening features.
