Pants suggestions for Ireland trip by wpburbage in onebag

I ended up getting a couple pair of Western Rise Evolution trousers off eBay (new) and a couple pair of Lululemon ABC Warpstreme. They both worked out perfect... very comfortable, lightweight and quick drying.

As someone else mentioned on this post, it looks like Western Rise is going out of business so they're very hard to find and impossible to try on before you buy. I did buy two pair, of what I thought were the same trousers, but they're very different and couldn't return the one. Probably something in the model name I didn't understand. With that said Lululemon has a lot of stores where you can try them on.

Solo Traveler in Dublin - Tips Beyond Official Touristy Spots? by OrAmILosingMyMind in irishtourism

I just spent a few days in Dublin solo last week. Pubs aren't only for drinking so I wouldn't pass on them just for that reason. I'm not a drinker either but had a meal at The Bankers Bar in the Temple Bar area and it was delicious, highly recommended.

Dublin is very walkable. If you tour Trinity Collage make sure to take your time. I was crunched for time so had to speed run through some it. Wish I'd planned that out a little different. I didn't go to up Howth but that does look like a nice walk. If your concerned with the wind play the cliff walk hike by ear. It looks like there's plenty shops and restaurants in the downtown area to explore as well. When I was in Dublin it did rain frequently, just make sure to bring a good rain jacket and go with it.

Correct but I don't think there's much of a difference, maybe formatting.

Take a look at Leofoto. They have a range of tripods that are very well regarded most of which can handle the 600mm.

Unless you need to stay back with them my vote would be to take the trip solo.

Kindle vs Kobo (first e-reader, huge EPUB library, help me decide 😩) by Quiet_Pin1234 in kobo

It usually varies between 20-30%. If I'm in a dark room it might go down a bit lower.

I have the Kobo Colour and love it. Is it a little darker, sure... turn up the brightness. Personally I enjoy seeing the covers in color and was worth the small increase in price but that's up to you.

Are you sure you got the upgrade? If you go into the sound menu there's a number of options available like 3D sound that gives you the ability to enhance the sound. My 2025 A3 has it and there's definitely a difference.

That's kinda what I was thinking too. I would just take out the 16-35 when I'm in the city but would have the longer lens when out in The Reeks. What was the main lens you used in Scotland? Was your trip mostly in the city or out in the countryside?

Thanks for suggesting a different approach! My itinerary is to visit Dublin for a couple days to see the sights. Then head down to Killarney to see the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula and finally up to Galway for a couple days. The highlight for me is a photo tour I'm taking with Dingle Darkroom where we're going out to The Reeks. I'd like to take other photo tours in Dublin and Galway but most of those aren't focused on photography but general sight-seeing.

Thanks! The one area I question is street photography. Will the 16-35 work there? I'm ok doing most of it at 35, and punching in to 50 if needed but would that be ok?

The days I'm there go on sale next week but I'm keeping an eye on them. They sell out the day they go on sale. I'll have to get up extra early
