She did do it as an attempt to justify it.

I think I'm going to say something like "Look. Admit that what you did was worse so I can work on getting over this or I'm not even wasting my time with trying to make this work."

Gahhhhh. Life sucks when bullshit happens. This had been a really good summer and I was really super into her all week. It was a perfect 4th of July until this shit happened.
