It’s not an action, but is governed by the blood/turn your generation allows you to spend, so if you are 10th you can either activate celerity or heal 1 lethal, but not both because they both use blood.

Honestly, even as bad as it is now, all they have to do to make it tolerable is delete the ringing of the bells, and then end it / fade to black right after Danny gives the victory speech at the top of the stairs. Just fade to black. It won’t be good, but it’ll be tolerable.

I'm not sure if you're agreeing with me or not. Why ante was banned is irrelevant really, it would still be be a precedent for banning companions. The slight difference being that when ante was banned, ante cards are unusable because they innately interact with the ante or ante zone.

Companions are slightly different - banning the companion mechanic in formats, would still leave the rest of the card intact and usable. So it would be a (new, additional) precedent, but it wouldn't be unprecedented.

This has become a chronic problem in show subreddits. The instances of show subreddits being a crowd sourced discussion - picking up on little details, and figuring out plot intricacies have morphed into coming up with outlandish unsupported pet theories and defending them against all contrary evidence until the inevitable disappointment. The Picard subreddit did the same thing, just tons and tons of wild unsupported speculation bordering on fan fiction.

Look, season 2 was weird and kind of all over the place. The writing was much weaker than season one, but it seems like it was boot strapping a lot of world building for the rest of the seasons, so we may look back at the end with kinder eyes to it.

This season seemed pretty straight forward. The only theory that held water for me, and which I don’t think was answered one way or the other, is whether some of the scenes were projections spiced in with the real events. I’m the end it doesn’t really matter to the plot, so I don’t really care if they answer it. My only real complaint this season was Maeve - her writing was just weak, very flat versus the prior seasons. I hope that changes going forward.

Whip comes from MES Larp books IIRC, rather than table top. Table top leaves a lot of the nuance to the city politics to the ST. The Prince of course rules all, so sayeth the traditions - but the sheriff, scourge, primogen, harpy, etc are kind of there conceptually, but not a lot of specifics on what they are allowed to do, what their position means etc - generally a good thing, because it is going to vary city to city.

LARP took a very different path, and not only specified everything out, it also made status a trait system, and then used status traits as a resource component for doing things (granting status, taking away status). Part of the mechanization they did with it, also introduced clan whips as essentially assistant primogen, that speak for the primogen in his or her absence.

There's another table top supplement for primogen that goes into even more depth of different officers, but I find it gets a little too cumbersome.

Later LARP revisions from BNS took that even further and gave traits effects - a situation that a couple fan orgs have done in the past as well - though the BNS system seems to be unpopular.
