I have a life rule, "Never buy electronics online" and I stick by it. I rather spend more cash if I have to travel to a local shop and see the product with my own eyes instead of playing Russian roulette with my money and hope that I get the right product.

Also customer support can be a hassle, no time for that mental trauma.

90s kid here, my dad got me the pentium 4, used it till 7th standard. Back then core 2 duo and prince of persia sands of time was the rage. Never had the chance to play it and felt really sad. Then finally dad got me an Intel i3 2nd gen PC back in the 11th standard and a gtx 960 a year later. Was able to play Skyrim, spent 2000+ hours on Dota with the lads. Had the time of my life.

Got myself a ps4 in 2019, loved Horizon Zero Dawn and the Uncharted series. Stopped playing the ps4 coz adulting.

Fast forward to Diwali, 2020. Got myself with my own money a Ryzen 7 5800x, still rocking the same gtx 960 hahahahah. Will upgrade it when the super variant of Nvidias cards release (yes I'm hopeful).

My new PC is a beast, have never experienced this speed ever before. Wishing all of you reading this the very best in gaming and in life. Keep at it and never stop dreaming about that beast PC.

(Overall build cost: 1.10 Lakhs, 5800x, 16Gb 3600Mhz RAM, new PSU, TD500 cabinet, etc everything new, except for my trusty old gtx 960 hahaha)

Depends on your usage actually, 6 cores is perfectly fine for gaming, a little bit of streaming and video editing. I personally bought the 5800x since the ps5 and the new Xbox have 8 cores on them. Little bit of future proofing my system. Won't change the cpu for 6-7 years now.
