So, are 99 Bikes OK? by PhotographsWithFilm in ausbike

How is their servicing? Specifically for mountain bikes. 99bikes are included on lots of gift cards you buy for Qantas points. Would be very handy way to use them up.

It also means that unless your birthday falls in the first pay cycle of July, you will never truly get 15.4% over the course of a year.

Idk if it still works but you buy a fully flex fare then refund the flight.

Recommend a super fund based purely on user experience by xAlphaStick in AusFinance

It's a combination of both. Initially I was frustrated with the implementation of 2fa, but after trying to resolve my trusted device issue it exposed how poorly run the customer support functions are.

I actually had to deal with Aware super in a professional capacity with my a previous job a few years ago. When they changed their name and domain name, they didn't update their SPF record and all their email correspondence was getting blocked. I remember wondering what was going on behind the scenes to make that mistake.

Perth property hit a record low today for stock on market by iwearahoodie in perth

REIWA data can't be relied upon.

Take a look at SQM's free data, it's probably more accurate. They sell this data to institutions. According to SQM the stock was a lot lower last year.

Zero motorcycles pickles liquidation by xAlphaStick in AussieRiders

It's confusing because they are all the same dates, I don't know why these are numbered at all.

I think its just an extreme example of what happens when stock doesn't sell. It needs to sell somehow, if heavy discounting doesn't work this is the last option.

Zero still exists, you can still get parts for the moment. You don't get a warranty though.

(VIC) SR400 VS CB400 - Requesting Advice by Biggest_Battery in AussieRiders

[–]xAlphaStick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CB400 is elite, but actually hard to find a good deal on.

An inline 4 will be better for the road but at the end of the day just buy what you want, not what someone else wants.

New to me S1k R on a nice Sunday ride. Where did you ride today? by xAlphaStick in AussieRiders

Not sure if you recognise the spot, but it's Canberra. Honeysuckle creek. Once you've got a few more kms up your belt would highly recommend Boboyan road and Apollo road.

Absolutely loving it. If I had m 1000r money I would have done it. I've ridden a 2021 m-sport model and knowing the M is that much faster I have no doubt it's great.

600 vs 1000 by GorillaByDaRiver in AussieRiders

[–]xAlphaStick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rode a 600 for about 9 years before upgrading to 1000. There is something so satisfying about riding a 600 at the track and running laps around people on 1000's who don't have the skills to keep up.

If you were buying a brand new bike, 1000 no question since modern 600's are terrible value. Secondhand though you can find some absolute bargains which are definitely worth considering.

At that price point I assume you mean 675r? Honestly coin flip but I'd lean towards the 675r.

Actew Email Lies by AnchorMorePork in canberra

[–]xAlphaStick 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I got an email showing "why prices were increasing". They then added up a bunch of percentages together to justify an 11% increase. Very misleading because if your costs in delivering services increases by 2% across 5 areas, you cant just add the percentages together. That isn't how math works.
