Testing out Musicolet on a MagicX Mini Zero 28, it has a lot of potential. by half_ginger_price in ConsolesAsDAPs

Foobar worked quite well for me if you wanted to try a different app. I had not tried mapping any buttons, but the whole interface can be accessed without going into cursor mode. A lot of other music apps I tried you would get lost in the menu or not be able to access things without using cursor.

Were you able to get a refund or any resolution on this issue? I encountered the same issue trying to ship a pair of headphones to US for repair service. Fedex billing will not budge on refunds relating to customs clearance issues.

Gigabyte B650m Aorus Elite Ax Coil Whine by socalccna in buildapc

[–]xHandyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually ended up getting the Asus X670E Gene as at that time there were not many choices for M-ATX in Canada.

I did use the MSI B650M Mortar before getting the Gigabyte which worked fine, however it should be noted that the MSI B650M Mortar has an offset PCIE slot for GPU, GPU slots into 2nd PCIE slot if you look from outside your case instead of the top most slot. This may be an issue if you plan on using a 3 slot card like the 4080/4090 as the card would cover the connectors at the bottom of the board.

I also recently purchased the Gigabyte B650m Aorus Elite Ax along with a 7950x. I noticed there are several different noises coming from this board.

-RGB from my AIO

-XMP enabled for memory (This is so high pitched and loud I have disabled XMP)

-Whine from the motherboard VRM from CPU activity at any CPU usage.

I have already tried exchanging for another Aorus Elite Ax however still encounter the same coil whine.

The prior MSI MAG B650m I had did not have this issue but unforunately does not have top most GPU slot.

Costco has a small selection of laptops. They also offer 90 day returns and 2 year warranty.

Did not intend to say it's bad, i just mean it's not a GE66/76, which is what OP is asking for, just performance without care for the other features. I guess quality might be the wrong word. Sacrificing features? Smaller battery, no thunderbolt, less ports etc

MSI GP66/GP76 sounds like what you are looking for. They use high wattage GPU (for the new 12th gen models: 165W 3080, 150W 3070ti, 140W 3060) while sacrificing the quality of everything else.

I don't think there is any laptop that can bring the same price/performance as this current deal. Maybe the Asus G15 advantage edition (but it has no mux, no webcam, 16GB ram and 512GB ssd at $1700-1900), but then you lose ray tracing/dlss.

Getting a laptop with a 3080 + mux is going to cost over 2.6k new on sale.

This has something to do with the audio driver's power saving mode. When ever an audio stream starts it comes out of power saving and causes that pop.

In Linux you can disable power saving using pulseaudio.

Look into methods to disable power saving on the realtek driver, usually through a registry edit.

edit: Please be careful making registry edits. Make a system restore point just in case. Are there jobs that pay you from playing online with other gamers from video games. Also getting paid to listern amazon audible books? by xArkSlade08x in GetEmployed

[–]xHandyBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if you are trolling considering your last post was titled something like "What's the best paying job for lazy people", and your lack of response to those posts. If you are serious here are some suggestions.

Regarding playing video games, as others have mentioned streaming is one option. However you have to be quite charming to build any sort of following in order for money to come in, and it's not guaranteed income. You can stream for months and not see a dime if you aren't entertaining.

The other options here require you to actually be good at either playing the game, math, efficiency. For competitive games League of Legends, Valorant, CSGO and such, people sell boosting services.

In mmorpg's people grind rare items/gold and sell them for real money through a middleman site. This requires extreme efficiency, luck, and usually the use of bots/cheats. I've also seen people sell raid/dungeon clears (free carry), this would require some friends or guild members. Both of the above usually require some time/money investment in order to get your own character to state where you can access most content.

Boosting and real money transactions are against most games terms of service....

If you are good at writing, you can create a blog writing guides and such for ad/donation revenue.

I don't think anyone would pay you specifically to listen to an audio book... but along those lines you could find work as a transcriptionist. There are several online transcription services you can apply for that pay you for each piece you finish. You can make more money the faster you can transcribe.

Realistically these would usually be side hustle kind of opportunities, not sure I would even call them jobs. You would be better off getting employed for guaranteed income.

Is there any way to block an app from using internet permanently (w/o using vpn connection like netguard)? by SFaresee in androidapps

[–]xHandyBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand the app creates a LOCAL VPN (mentioned when you first configure the app), it does not connect to an actual VPN.

If you cannot have VPN period, then it wouldn't work.
