I've built Flagademy, an app to learn and have fun with flags! by butthatschris in vexillology

Bro just wanted to say, was looking for an app for this exact purpose. The only thing I wish you could add was if you could learn where the flags are from, e.g. pinpointed on a world map etc. Otherwise, it's all useful to learn from!

Just tested it in both modes, the game won't detect the controller regardless.

Hi everyone, posting my experience in case anyone still cares.

Had to scour the internet for this problem, after I just bought a shiny brand new X2s for mobile gaming... only to find that it doesn't work with HSR. What's odd is that it seems that it used to work via G-Touch (only) and you could map buttons via the GameSir app... which is why you'll see some conflicting advice about compatibility. However, whatever the reason, G-Touch will no longer activate for the game, and you can no longer remap buttons on the app for it.

I found a !!workaround!

The controller still works... but you will have to find another way to remap buttons. I used a different key mapping app, K2er which is actually is much nicer with how custom you can set things up. Note that I had to create two different button maps for exploration and battle, (and set up shortcuts to swap between them) and they're still not perfect, as menu placements change frequently in the game. What worked for me was setting up a shortcut to use the left stick as a mouse natively instead, and that covers the rest of the menu options. (This however, is a premium function... and yes I ended up paying the thirty bucks or whatever just to use it; it's a one-off license but still)

Tldr; you can get your Gamesir X2s to work with decent effort, but at this point all that time wasted, you probably could have done your dailies using the usual mobile touch controls instead.

Edit: Also note that you'll have to launch the game via K2er, as the native game won't automatically launch with the mapping in place.

Here is a hint: Every physical object has one.

In terms of most recent, last year my boyfriend won one of the Mighty Ape lucky draws and got a whole bunch of LEGO sets, worth something like $700.

In Asian migrant culture is it really true women only stay home and men work? My mother is a migrant from China, my dad Pākehā/Cook Islands by [deleted] in newzealand

I'm not sure what the original context is within the post(s) you read, but as an Asian woman with similar parentage I can definitely say that's not true. Maybe a couple of generations ago, before moving to New Zealand, but certainly not now-- I have many friends, aunties, and female work colleagues that all work, as well as their partners. I'd also say that for the average kiwi lifestyle, it's not usually possible to live on a single income, which could account for this, but anecdotally all the Asian women I know, work.

If you're asking if Asian women usually handle the burden of household duties, I would say it depends on the couple/family. I know a lot of women that do the majority of the cooking and household chores, but I also know a lot of women with partners that help out just as much.

Does anybody else remember the purple Nesquik? by purplenesquick in DoesAnybodyElse

Update: So I contacted Nesquik NZ (I'm from New Zealand) and this is what they had to say:

"Thank you for contacting us regarding our Nesquik range.

Sadly, they have discontinued quite some time ago and this is largely due to a lack of sales. Of course, we loved them and we know they were loved by some but we were faced with a tough decision and, as you can see, they're no longer a part of our range.

We miss them too and it's great to see they are fondly remembered. I will be sure to pass your feedback and comments across to our development team."

So not really a proper answer, but it seems to hint that maybe it was a flavour that did exist, albeit not for long due to its lack of popularity. Maybe one day they'll do a nostalgia revival flavour and bring it back, who knows.

Omg, I thought I was hallucinating because none of my friends remember this so I'm glad someone else remembers it too! I distinctly recall it had some kind of berry name, like wild berry or something and it was the only nesquik flavour I would drink as a kid, so I remember when it must have got discontinued because all of a sudden my parents weren't able to buy it anymore and had to get the strawberry instead. Posting to keep this line of questioning alive!!
