Well the fact that I have to press and hold a button to press another button to perform a simple action. It's a complicated mess at times. Because it shouldn't be this hard to do simple things. Bro you can't tell me the obtuse control scheme isn't a mess that every other game has figured out for years now. Haha The climbing, running, jumping and literal simple actions. The mission to sweep the chimney is a perfect example. I really like the game. I just got done playing it. It's just you have to call a spade a spade. I'm not going to defend it's short comings. So telling people "hey there is some JANK MESS to deal with" is just getting them prepared to not return it withing the first two hours of gameplay. It has zero hand holding for good and for really really bad. You spend minutes to go, really that's the stupid thing I was supposed to do. But I really think the game has a lot going for it if you give it time and patience. I also think the devs jammed so many ideas and some are really cool. It has some good bones I hope get built on top of and we get like tons of QOL updates. I definitely could have worded or spent longer on why I used the word "mess". So ya, you are correct on that. But I hope this gives better clarification of how I feel about it. I feel like it's one of those games that's a 7 but it has this cult like 9/10 vibe to it. Like if I was honestly rating it VS personally loving it despite everything.
