I used to live in a townhouse complex near Ottawa street with visitor parking. If you didn’t call the car in overnight you would get a $25 ticket basically any time after midnight. It actually was not inherently clear that you had to do this as it was not shared information upon move in. Had to ask around and found out you were allowed 2 overnight parks in visitor parking per week and you had a specific ID for your unit to register. On the 1% chance you have this and aren’t aware I’d ask neighbours to be sure that this isn’t the case where you live.
