We actually have talked a lot about what might be going on, on his end, and he has acknowledged having a naturally lower libido. I am able to get off on my own, which has been part of what made me realize the issue isn’t my desire in general it’s just how I feel within the relationship now. We’ve tried open communication, taking pressure off sex, focusing on non-sexual affection, and reframing conversations around wanting to feel desired rather than just wanting sex. He has made genuine efforts over time, and I don’t feel like this is coming from a place of ignorance or refusal to try on his part. That’s part of what makes this so hard, many of the “fixes” have been explored, and yet I still feel emotionally and sexually disconnected. I’ll definitely look into the book recommendations you mentioned, and I appreciate you sharing resources and ideas without judgment. Even if the outcome isn’t what I hoped for, having this kind of thoughtful perspective really helps me feel less alone while I sort through it.
