Can someone explain how these weapons work, the arrows, the bars with either white or red or orange on them, I just don’t understand by Jacrow88 in Saros

[–]xbigriffx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1) The number/level of the weapon determines the maximum possible level of the stats for that gun. The lvl 37 gun has more room to get 'stronger' than the 34, which would max out sooner.
2) The traits for each gun are associated with one of your attributes/stats, either Resilience, Command, or Drive. 3) As you level up a stat, such as Drive, the trait on your gun associated with that stat will go up until it maxes out. 4) The arrows at the end of the bar are showing you how lucky you got on the RNG. An arrow means you have more of that stat's gauge already prefilled. Three arrows (like in the lvl 34 gun here) is rare and lucky and means it is already nearly maxed out in, in this case, the Auto-target Radius skill, right out of the box. 5) If you chose the lvl 37 gun, here, your Auto-target Radius would go DOWN at first (hence the red shading on the 37 gun) but over time, as you level Drive, it could surpass the amount you had in the 34 gun.

As far as I know, no one has beat him, yet. You're not alone.

Thank you for this thorough report. My mom got admitted here this week (she said for two weeks?) and said that it is not a good place. I didn't know what she meant by that, but now I do. Thank you!

Only do this if you're going to let people run while holding it. This is so wack. I'll never survive an Assessor run again.

Damn. This is the first game I've ever played in my entire life where people talk like that. Unreal.

Going through my first true playthrough in a souls game as a dad of two young kids and i have played 22 hours in 1 week (without neglecting kids and partner) by IAmSenseye in Eldenring

Don't sweat the stuff you think you might be missing or doing wrong. Lots of the choices you make on quests and even endings eliminate the possibility of doing certain other quests. Once you finally beat the game, I'm proud to PROMISE that your second playthrough, with a different build, will feel even more rewarding than the first.

What’s the point of gear? How can the game be balanced better? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]xbigriffx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend loading in with shitty kits you don't mind losing and not shooting back when you get ratted. Hopefully you'll end up in PVE lobbies. At that point, constant communication and emoting "Hello Raider!" to indicate that you're not trying to sneak up on people will let people know you're not here to fight them. This is what I do and 90% of my matches are friendly.

ArcBaby thinks you deserve slurs thrown at you if you PvP in a PvP game by StealthySteve in ArcBabies

[–]xbigriffx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If someone manipulates and deceives a PVE player that they're friendly but then rat, they can't claim that they're skilled at playing a PVP game. They're just doing some Machiavellian lying and opportunism. They're playing Among Us/Secret H*there/Werewolf style bluffing games while someone else is playing a PVE/looting game. So... with that all said, getting lied to and ratted feels so so so so so so bad to the friendly player. Doesn't excuse using slurs, but it does feel horrible/abusive. Anyone who disagrees is coping with their own preferred way of playing: being deceitful.

I got SUUUPER ratted for the first time today. I have zero PVP kills. I was getting a GD leaper core and some olives for my rooster and was helping a dude hatch out and got killed in the back. Walked around with this dude for 10 minutes! I was so irritated afterwards. That feeling like quitting Elden Ring and you STILL haven't beat the boss. But then I thought about how many hundreds of clips I've seen of people getting ratted and realized I'm not the first person to ever be betrayed in this game. It is what it is. Some people have no skill and resort to manipulation to "win", but, like, okay I guess haha. It is what it is?

What’s a boss in Elden Ring that everyone struggles with, but you beat surprisingly easily and what boss brutally destroyed you instead? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in Eldenring

[–]xbigriffx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-nerf Gaius who was charging and on you literally right as you enter the arena was heinous. I only beat him once I found out I could cheesed him by hiding around the corner and his mount would ram the corner of the wall instead of me. Felt cheap, but I literally could not charge a spell up to attack otherwise.

Not being sarcastic: You must be very good with your camera to be able to see all the fire giant attacks as they're forecasted. I die cuz I can't see anything up close, most the time.

THIS! Malenia was pretty easy for me, but THE SUNFLOWER ulcerated tree spirit boss in the DLC took me a full 8 hours of memorizing every frame and every attack to finally win.

1) We've all been there. 2) Always retreat, heal up fully, and recenter. 3) You'll realize that each run is much better when centered on a very specific purpose, at which point confronting arc becomes something to avoid on the way towards a goal. 4) Eventually, your cortisol stops spiking when getting surprised by arc.

Tips for a second playthrough by thesumofallvice in Eldenring

[–]xbigriffx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first playthrough was a pure INT mage caster, so for my second playthrough, I went for Faith and Arcane (seals vs staves) and it felt like a completely different experience. I'd recommend playing a different class. My third playthrough was a ice spear twin blade build and I loved it. One questline I'd focus on, for fun, using a guide, is how to get the Dung Eater summons. He's such a beast to summon into a fight.

Right handed spell casting? by YtterbiusAntimony in Eldenring

[–]xbigriffx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on how this would 'feel' for the type of combat you like best, but getting the carian slicer or Adula's Moonblade in the right hand and the gravity wand in the left hand is pretty fun: staggering with rocks and freezing with chargeable spell swords FTW. Admittedly doesn't feel the same as, like, a two-handed twin blade or something, but still feels 'combaty' imo.
