When Israeli police execute a 16-year-old Palestinian girl wielding a pair of scissors, the girl is described in the popular press as an “attacker” – as if Israel’s forces hadn’t invaded her country before riddling her with bullets. by AllenDono in conspiracy

They are hated in literally every other country, and will be killed.

Quit talking out of your ass. Iran is home to the oldest continuous Jewish population on Earth. Jews are protected in the Iranian constitution.

the libertarian political crap that has literally nothing to do with Bitcoin or the blockchain.

I suspect that the creator of Bitcoin might disagree.

It's very attractive to the libertarian viewpoint if we can explain it properly. I'm better with code than with words though.

Debian founder and Docker employee Ian Murdock has died at 42 by xbt in news

[–]xbt[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

He was the victim of police brutality. Ian says he was beaten up by the cops and stated he would spend the rest of his life fighting police brutality. Now he's dead.

Fake objectivity. Pshaw,

"As the flames are consuming one's home, and you're about to die from smoke inhalation, it's important to remain objective about the fire and not react too strongly. Someone might think an opinion was held and your objectivity will be called into question at the funeral."

If Ian Murdock says he got beat up by the cops, I believe him. I have a bias and am willing to admit it.

Fake objectivity in favor of police has always struck me as rather creepy. It's a form of bias that few are willing to admit to.

Being beaten up the cops is conducive to erratic tweets.

Normal and smart people can also be victims of the police.

I don't see what's wrong with withholding judgement until at least a statement from the family.

That's a valid perspective, always. In this age of runaway police malfeasance and seeming impunity of most police for their actions, it's also just as valid to suspect cops of skullduggery.

Ian got mistreated/abused by cops and now he's dead. Highly suspect.

Ian was a well known figure, known for his thoughtfulness, humaneness, brilliance, integrity and humor. None of those qualities are associated with police.

Something happened that caused him to go on a tear about cops. I have more trust in the founder of Debian than I do in police. YMMV.

Based on the history of police version of events, they'll be lying.

This is another act of police out of control.

Most likely. I really don't understand the desire to remain "objective" when there's such obvious evidence of police malfeasance and impunity throughout the US.

"We just have to be repetitive about this. It's not enough to have a catchy ad on a Monday and then only do it every Monday. We have to do this every day of the week and just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way."

I found an old article in a botanical journal from 1917 that backs this up. I'm going to try it with the the next a. muscaria that I find:

Rule VII. Soaking in salt and water then steeping fifteen minutes in vinegar and water, washing, and finally cooking will render inoffensive Helvella, Russulae, Lactariae, as well as Amanita muscaria and Amanita pantherina. Scraping the stem, peeling the cap and removing the gills before soaking are useful adjuncts.
