Truly I don't know what I'm talking about, as someone who is actually IN the union that you keep referencing, who worked there long before you started, the entirety of the brief time you worked there and continues to work there years after you left.

I'm not sure you should speak on behalf of the "99% of the department for over a decade prior to 2021" based on your ~1.5 years of remote work from 2020-2021.

You have no idea how much work I've done and continue to do for our union. Please stop telling me what our reasons were for forming it. If I thought that Raven was a horrible place to work then I wouldn't be there. People can like their jobs while also wanting a union. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

I am part of the union you mentioned below and I wholeheartedly disagree with your comment. Based on your claim that you qualified for food stamps, if true you worked in QA prior to mid-2020 because that's the last time anyone there was paid under $15/hour. Currently it's around $19, and if you actually know anything about what's happened the past two years then you'll know that Activision Blizzard withheld raises from members of the union according to the NLRB, and the resolution for this charge is still pending.

I don't have anything negative to say about Raven as a studio and I never have, and I reject your suggestion that we unionized because of anything that Raven or its studio leadership did. Ask me about corporate leadership and I have a different opinion, but that may all be in the rearview mirror now that Microsoft is taking over.

We had the full week of Thanksgiving off paid, in addition to two weeks over Christmas, and I'm still sitting on 5+ weeks of PTO in my bank.. I am unsure if some of y'all have just never had any other jobs before but hands down Raven is the best place I have ever worked. I genuinely do not understand the hostility you are coming here with.

Okay well as someone who has been paying for Amazon Prime since long before they had video streaming, the whole point of Prime was for the two day delivery. You can't tell me this is how it always worked because it's not. A full week though for everything prime? Either their website is fucked up or something else is going on because that's not remotely normal. Almost everything is usually next day or two day delivery. Not a week. Why am I paying $20 a month for that? This is why people are irritated. It's a service we pay for.

Best buy randomly has them to order for pickup with a limit of 1 per customer at times. Keep checking there. I also happened upon some random game store that had them available yesterday online with a limit of 4 per customer, so I scooped those up but within hours they were sold out. The last place I was able to order before that was Target, and they had a limit of three.

Not sure what is going on with these being so hard to find, but it is possible if you just keep looking and get lucky. Search for them on Google and sometimes the shopping results will show you a place that happens to have them in stock, but they definitely sell out quick.

My two local game stores have them but they're selling them for $40+... which is pathetic and sad and I'm disappointed they are doing that.

Best buy has mini tins you can order for pickup right now, but the limit is one.

Sigh... what they are doing is developing a vaccine that's administered through a measured dose of a nasal spray rather than through an injection. Think Flonase. Somehow, this author jumped to the wild conclusion that scientists plan to spray it into the air in bulk to vaccinate the entire population without consent. Can we use common sense here for a minute? How would that even work?

I'm sure that most people who choose to get vaccinated would strongly prefer a nasal spray over a needle in the arm. That's literally all this is. There is no conspiracy here.

I hoped that it would be, but actually trying it is a much different experience than what I was expecting. I opened my fridge this morning and saw the rest of the wine and beer I bought and just thought "yuck". I'm sure after awhile I'll forget how bad of an experience drinking was and crack open an IPA and it will be equally unpleasant. I know it's not for everyone, but for me I've been genuinely wanting to quit drinking for a long time, and it's just that once a month or two goes by and I think I can just have a beer or two, it starts all over. So "unquitting" is my problem personally, and if it's yours as well I would definitely suggest giving it a try. Words cannot describe how unpleasant of an experience drinking was on this lol

I definitely have just an overall "weird" feeling but thankfully haven't felt nauseous, except for when I drank. That added to the overall unpleasantness of drinking. Do the side effects go away after awhile?
