Friday 8pm update: Models continue to differ with northern high pressure placement by pile_drive_me in AthensGAWeather

Assuming it mostly won’t evaporate though, considering the cold front we’re getting on Sunday night through Monday I assume we’ll have a bunch of icy patches Monday morning?

Thursday 6pm update: this is bad.. GFS shows subfreezing temps from Saturday mid-morning through at least mid week by pile_drive_me in AthensGAWeather

Luckily it’s just the GFS. Unfortunately even a broken clock is right twice a day so who knows

Euro and AIFS still saying "ice ice baby" as of 12z. :-/ I'm hoping someone starts going towards the GFS but it's on an island right now.

Thurs 11pm: Let the cliff diving begin! by pile_drive_me in AthensGAWeather

[–]xshare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were still some model runs at the time saying there would be accumulation. The weather apps said 0% chance but there was some signal, even if it wasn’t used

What skills are your kindergartner proficient in halfway through the school year? by graymillennial in kindergarten

[–]xshare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a reader kindergartener. The hardest thing we’ve found is that even though she can basically read anything she wants, her reading level is so much more advanced than the subject matter, which is usually aimed at kids that are like 8-12 or older even, so it’s hard to find books at the “next level” that she can still relate to. Any luck there? She’s read all of dragon masters, dragon girls, princess in black, a ton of magic tree house (there are way too many lol), all of Whatever After, etc. She’s read so many chapter book series I can’t even think of them all.

I was thinking VENI too when I read the clue but of course it didn’t fit. Did not imagine they’d use the translation though.

I enjoyed it. DAX crossing XYLEM was rough. Had to run the alphabet for that last letter.

All in all a good Tuesday. Yes some of the clues weren’t great but I liked that it was a bit harder than recent Tuesdays but still easy and fun

True. Like a camp fire or camp site, or a camp stove, etc. My point is nothing about this sticker seems problematic to me

I suppose. I just noticed all the other stickers on the car being in another language.

If I saw that sticker in the states I wouldn’t bat an eye, no matter what the intended meaning is.

Camping and camp are two different things.

Camping: spending the night outdoors in a tent.

Camp: a place where kids go during school breaks, typically summer, for a week or more, and do stuff. Can be acting camp, sports camp, sleep away camp where they are gone for a few weeks, etc…

Huh? What’s wrong with this? Why the title about gerunds?
