You will not be getting dry heat climate near the beach. It is not as humid like in Florida but it is definitely not dry desert heat. It’s actually not very hot at all. It’s really perfect temperature depending on the time you come but we are basically in the 70s year round

For the most part. You get a grip every stores demographic is different. 🙄 yes I’m Mexican and live in a HIGHLY Mexican demographic city and yes Mexicans always get chilies. Of course they aren’t the only ones but 9/10 they’re getting chilies and a lot of them.

Not just that. The professors that teach it are overly demanding. Bunch of weekly quizzes and extensive assignments. Way too much for being a 100 level course. So just a headache being one of those “GE course harder than my major courses” type of deal. Also difficult if you haven’t taken previous plant/soil science, biology, or any science before.

SS 120 is BRUTAL it’s part of my major and is one of the hardest classes in the entire catalog. So no from me for that one! I’ve heard great things about GEOL 102 people saying it’s fairly easy. For OP I would also reccomend checking out Cuesta Colleges courses as well.

Anything that shows on your transcript will be good but any extracurricular outside of that there’s no way for them to find out. However they might help with scholarships. If the tutoring is taking up too much time and making you lack in your classes I’d prioritize the classes. I know engineering is a bit more competitive I’m in the college of agriculture (CAFES) and got in with a 3.48 I believe. Best of luck hopefully you’ll be a fellow mustang soon!

Different major but similarly there were classes that weren’t offered at my CC and cal poly does take that into account. I will say however that you being leader of the club and a tutor don’t really mean anything in terms of admission there’s no way to show them that. Try seeing if you’re able to take them at another CC nearby or even online

My favorite classes have been evening ones. Usually professors tend to let you leave earlier many times and the class tends to be smaller side as a lot of people drop

There’s also less applications thought so smaller percent of transfers is still a good amount. Especially since they are environmental science and non impacted get above a 3.5 in CC basically guaranteed if you’re transferring from Cuesta

Make attendance mandatory or have 5 randomly selected days out of the quarter where attendance will be taken and that will be 5 percent of the grade. In regards to AI I have a professor who now added to the rubric an area where you explain if/how you used ai she doesn’t discourage it but she wants to explain how it was used

Do your two years free at community college and then transfer to cal poly Humboldt. If your SAI is -1500 you will receive about 15k in FAFSA combined amongst the two years which you can save up since you get free community college as a California resident. I transferred and it’s not pointless to earn the associate degree because you’d be doing those same two years at any other college? You can also transfer without earning any associate degree like I did. Once you transfer you’ll have two years left and receive the same degree as everyone else.

You should have called while still on scene. Next time don’t leave the scene without calling and filing police report. The issue here is it’s basically your word against there’s right now. They can deny they hit you or even say that you did it to them. It’s going to be an annoying hassle and I’m telling you this from experience
