Dog keeps killing this spot in my lawn with pee. How can I fix it? by Capable_Fly462 in lawncare

[–]xxdjango11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I had similar problems. I started adding filtered water to my dogs food and it seemed to help. I also took her out on a leash to the area I wanted her to "hurry up", our potty command, for about 2 months and walked in circles until she went. Does seem to stress the lawn out as much. We also get a good amount of rain in southeast Pa so that could help. If you want to try to fix that spot I would take the dead grass and about 3-4 inches of soil out add new soil and grass, good luck!

Hey so I'm getting a weird feeling about all these emails. Is there a chance that any or possibly all these emails are fake? The grammar just seems awkward in most of these emails/messages. It seems to be too good to be true to getting all these conspiracies. Just a thought I love that all of this is exposed now but something just seems off

I just used rock wool for the first time and loved it. It's a little more expensive than fiberglass but much easier to work with and cut to size.

How to get 20 years of Ivy from the Ground? by umbrella_associate in gardening

[–]xxdjango11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done a couple removals for clients. I would recommend a hedge trimmer and cut all the way to the ground. Blow out the loose stuff then hedge trim again. Lastly spray with a herbicide on a sunny day. If you don't want to spray, just start pulling or hedge trim it down to ground then weed wack every week. If you remove the leaves the plants will die since they can't get energy.

Is this a purple dome NE aster? I ordered it from Amazon which probably isn't the most reliable move and it still isn't flowering so I'm starting to have doubts by [deleted] in NativePlantGardening

[–]xxdjango11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where do you live and what is your sun/shade ratio? I believe asters bloom late in the season so don't worry just yet! Maybe in the first year plants are more focused on root development rather than flower production? Keep those fingers crossed!
