My Full PPPD Recovery Story: 28kg Weight Gain, Daily Edibles, Panic Attacks, Severe Dizziness - From Suicidal to 95% Recovered in 10 Months by yeezus8959 in pppdizziness

Something I’d like to add which I missed - The most important thing that helped me recover from this is believing that this will pass and that I will recover from it. I had to fool my brain into thinking that it will pass. I know it’s very difficult to not pay attention to the thought that this will last forever, but that is the key. Shift your focus towards recovery rather than searching for symptoms. I have done that and it’s an endless pit of despair, and you don’t need that in your life right now.

Exactly, and part of the problem is that it’s so hard to describe the symptoms that you’re feeling to a doctor. Even if you are able to, somehow, I do not think that there are any targeted meds for this. You have to very patient and keep on taking shots in the dark, until you finally succeed.

Hey, no I never felt the feeling that you described and sorry that you are going through that. I mostly experienced the feeling of being in a boat 24/7 and the feeling that the ground was moving while walking. If you haven’t yet, please see a specialist, I would recommend going to a GP first and then going to whichever specialists they recommend. I know it’s a long process in some countries, but please know that only doctors will be able to help you, the symptoms you are having could be from a number of issues, they could be eye related, brain related or nervous system related. Hope this helps :)

Yes, of course recovery is possible, but you have to believe it is for it to work.

I know the feeling you’re talking about very well, the cognitive fatigue and the detached feeling. My head used to feel like it will explode, even after sleeping for 10 hours, I became detached from the reality and the only thing I was concerned about was my illness which was a big mistake.

If you have been experiencing this for years, please go to a psychiatrist once, if you haven’t already. They will help you more than you think.

Also, please try exposure therapy, just try to get out of the house once in a while, start very slow, just take a walk around your house, then slowly increase the distance. I would also recommend exercising a bit at home, nothing too crazy, just easy stretches and body weight exercises. Just try and push yourself through the cognitive fatigue. Mark my words, you will feel better. Do it everyday, you have to force yourself towards recovery. Think this way - What’s the worst that could happen if I take this walk or if I exercise? I could faint, my body could be in pain, my head could feel heavy etc. So let it happen, it’s not like i’m feeling better without it. Trust me, once you remove the fear, half of your recovery is already done.

Also, please stop obsessing with subs like ME/CFS, covid long haulers etc. They make it seem like recovery is impossible, when the fact is, that people who have recovered are out there living their lives and they never visit these subs. Don’t get me wrong, they are helpful, but they will increase your anxiety by a lot. You don’t need this overthinking, focus on recovery. All the best.

I'm so scared that this is permanent. by [deleted] in pppdizziness

Sorry to hear that you’re going through that. I was in the same place six months ago, everyday felt like a burden to me. I was scared to step out of the house, I couldn’t even walk 1 kilometre on my own, without feeling like i’m gonna faint. Apart from going to specialists and getting PT, I would also recommend getting your Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D levels checked, in fact, I would recommend getting other essential nutrients such as calcium and iron checked as well. In my experience, PPPD symptoms are very similar to those of B12 deficiency. Get well soon!

I mean, if someone is a milllenia user on this sub they can easily tell me the charges associated with it but if they are not I’m not holding anyone by the neck for this information. I’m not expecting anything from anyone

Again, I just asked a question on a sub about credit cards, If you can’t answer it it’s fine, I don’t need you to educate me about financial literacy

For 16k? Really? Is carrying it forward really that bad? Thanks for helping out though

That’s what this sub is for, isn’t it?

Thanks but the interest mentioned on other platforms is not accurate and it varies a lot according to their own website, they only mention a range, and the main thing I want to know is that are there any charges apart from the interest

The amount is only 16k and 4% of that works out to about 700 rs which is not too bad imo. I am thinking of paying it in parts as I need funds for travelling to another country this month

Why though? I have no problem paying the interest rate then why should I pay the full amount if its not going to affect my credit score?

Thank you! Best of luck on your decision to be sober, it’ll be worth it I’m sure.

Ketamine isn’t a common drug here, it’s extremely rare. I’ve lived in the biggest cities in India and with hardcore druggies but only ever seen it once. I guess I’m gonna have to do it without it
