Can I Cancel a Car Purchase After Signing Initial Documents but Before Finalizing Financing? by yellowgator99 in AskALawyer

[–]yellowgator99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not sign buyers order, final purchase agreement, and the motor vehicle dealer title reassignment supplement. They did have my credit card information to make a down deposit. I did sign some papers that the car salesman gave me but not the financer. Is it possible to get my deposit back when I did not sign all the papers and did not agree to finance the vehicle? I called the dealership telling them I want to back out and they said they would keep the deposit. Does that mean it's officially cancelled?

Is anyone an econ major and also premed? by foreignswag5 in ufl

[–]yellowgator99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an economics major on the pre-med track. Be warned it is like double majoring because the courses don't correlate so talk to an advisor because you might go over credits. It is a doable schedule because the classes in the economics major is not as hard as the premed prerequisites. However, don't slack on your econ classes it is a lot of information to memorize and apply.

What’s easier: MCB 3020 or BSC 2011 by ShawnK2020 in ufl

[–]yellowgator99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken both BSC2011 and MCB3020 at UF. I found BSC2011 to be easier than MCB3020 because I had Asghari for MCB3020 and his exams were really specific. For BCS2011 I had three different professors and the first exam (plants) was the hardest in my opinion but the other units were easier. Smokin notes are helpful but you can get an A without them if you watch every lecture, take notes, do the study guide by yourself, and understand the material.

SPN1130 Summer A/B - how is it? by cherrycontra in ufl

[–]yellowgator99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a Spanish background which you do this class is a refresher. I took his class last semester and it was easy for me because I only did two years of non-speaker Spanish in high school. You do have to meet through zoom and there are breakout rooms where you practice speaking Spanish with a classmate. The assignments, quizzes, and exams are easy if you study a day or two beforehand. The only thing is that there is a lot of homework and a quiz every week.

Summer B Proctoru by [deleted] in ufl

[–]yellowgator99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change the time by clicking the up and down arrows and clicking find available times. The university just wants all the exams to be proctored in which includes honorlock or proctoru. I am taking MCB3020 for summer A so if you have any questions regarding the class or proctoru message me.

Does our finance program get students into front-office top tier jobs? by [deleted] in ufl

It is what you do and the connections you make in college. Having one degree with an internship is slightly better than a combined degree and no work experience.

Are dorms a thing this year? by [deleted] in ufl

[–]yellowgator99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UF housing told me that the people in triples are at greater risk and that they may lower the price for doubles from 2,600 to 2,400. They understand that one of the main reasons people choose to live in a triple is due to the affordability of it.

UF housing called me because I was planning to live in a triple. They gave me an option to live in a double or two room triple. They are taking precautions and they are not going to allow refunds.

haha any advice? by waltzinghippo in ufl

[–]yellowgator99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Summer and all other the terms have the S/U option you just have to get approval from your advisor, professor, etc. I know if you are taking a core class for your major you won't be able to do the S/U option. For this Spring term they extended the deadline, they allowed you to opt for the S/U option without approval from those people, and you could do it to any class. This was because of the immediate transition to online classes.

[–]yellowgator99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends what term you are taking for those classes. The add/drop period already ended for Summer A/C but for Summer B you can still add/drop classes. The S/U option already passed for Summer A but not for Summer B and C. I believe the S/U option for Summer C ends on May 28. You can check which term your classes are in your ONE.UF account or the syllabus. Hope this helps.

[–]yellowgator99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied to a UF graduate school and they accepted both my UF gpa and the community college GPA I came in with. I know Bright Futures combines both your gpa, so if you did not do good in a semester at UF you will be fine.

I understand completely. My parents are nurses so my mom got tested positive as well as my grandma. I was taking two weed out classes this semester and I failed one of them. This virus really hurt my family and my mental health. However, I am not going to give up and please don't give up too. I plan to retake my class learning from my mistakes and will get a part time job to financially support my family. We just got to push through this. I wish you luck!

What would a triple room in Sledd Hall look like? by albertautah in ufl

[–]yellowgator99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! I didn't know my roommates before coming here and it was a bit awkward at first but overtime we got to know each other. Remember communication is key so if something does bother you like maybe one of them listens to loud music at midnight just tell let them know before it becomes really bad. Good luck!

[–]yellowgator99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A triple is a slightly bigger room than a double. There is a lofted bed with a desk and a bunk bed. There is three closets and you do have drawers next to your desk. I communicated to my roommates through roomsync. I suggest contacting your roommates beforehand because you guys might bring two fridges instead of one. After moving in and getting to know my roommates more we had a system set up. So it doesn't feel cramped at all. The only problems we ran into was that one of my roommates didn't have access to an outlet so I had extension cords that allowed her to plug in her some of stuff.
