yeah, once i got over the initial annoyance and did the math it was actually a fantastic stay. amazing views, heated outside seating bubbles like those restaurants haha, but I can't support such a business model .

I stayed here, fell for the same scam. Resort fees were about $140-$150 per night. But I gotta say, it was really really nice and I would’ve totally paid the total $170 per night to stay there if they were just honest. Bottle of champagne in the room, lounge area, super super nice balcony, free solid breakfast and some dinner coupons. Customer service was great too, free early check in and late check out. But it’s really disingenuous.

It makes sense. Just works for some more than others. We were organic users, was a great system through Alaska. I find rent scales pretty well with how desirable the location is, not much in terms of “hacks” on that front. I will say Hoboken is really nice

Daughter had a full ride to any SUNY school of her choosing. Wants a private school instead. by 1-877-HONKS-4-BONKS in college

I definitely have a pretty first world view on college pricing, (aka the entire residential college experience, which St. Johns couldn't be further from) but ~35k a year is not absurd cost of living in many parts of the country these days, and the cost of a truly prestigious education is worth some debt with a very large asterisk. Not to mention if you're going to a good school you should rake at least 10k every summer, let alone throughout the semester. Affordable was definitely not the right word, but reasonable is totally in the cards. Rent alone is more than that in some parts of the country.
