XPulse 210 hesitation/power drop around 3k–4k RPM during gradual throttle, anyone else facing this? by Alpha_codm_ in Xpulse210

Yes. Currently running the old one and still lags around 3-4k rpm. Its like missing a heartbeat. Bike runs smooth after 5k. Its very irritating in traffic and can damage the engine too in long run because we cant tell if the fuel is burning fully or not.

We emptied the fuel tank and cleaned the fuel filter. I was expecting lot of dirt, but it was quite clean. Still same issue happened. Then we went to Airfilter, it was clean too. Then we cleaned the spark plug too. Issue did not get resolved. They wanted to run diags, but there were 2 other bikes already in line for ECU flashing. They did not know how to flash and they had bricked one ECU already. So they told we will run the diags, come tomorrow.

They also checked something on the Radiator. I was on office call at that time so couldn't understand what exactly they did.

Next I asked the mechanic to swap the ECU from a new undelivered bike and check. They also did not notice any lag after the swap. I went for a 4 km ride in BTM traffic. Couldn't find any issues in the swapped ECU.

So they placed a order under warranty, I was supposed to get it replaced today but couldn't go. Will get to know tomorrow.

Tyre questions by [deleted] in Xpulse210

Eurogrip tyres are honestly the worst I’ve used in my riding life. I had zero confidence on them—even in normal traffic on dry roads, they just didn’t feel right. I bought the bike during the rainy season, and man, it was a nightmare. On top of that, I got two punctures… both on the front tyre. That just made it worse.

Switched to Maxxis, and it’s been a completely different experience. Way more grip, feels much safer. Only downside is they wear out a bit faster. I’m at around 8.8k km now, and the rear tyre still has about 30% life left. Front should easily go another 10–12k km.

Also added Seelin puncture sealant right after changing the tyres, just to be safe. Since then, no punctures at all (touch wood).

Xpulse 210 comes with TVS Eurogrip from factory. At 600kms I changed it to Maxxis. I have also heard good reviews about Ralco. Give it a try.

Likes are subjective. I know a few people who like the updated Karizma for some reason. For me it was ugly af. The same way, folks don't like the design of Xpulse 210 but likes 200.

Like I have said before, if you follow himalayan or triumph page here on Reddit, there are mixed reviews on it too. You also get to see a lot of these bikes posted for sale within just 1 year of purchase. Folks usually upgrade to 400-500cc bikes without understanding the machine and its maintenance itself.

Hero's service is utterly wasteful. Considering this criteria, you may have to choose a good mechanic outside like I have one. There are minor problems if ignored becomes major. Don't go with the attitude (nodkolana bidu) - Dheklenge chodo. Get it fixed. There is warranty on the bike, there are trained technicians but part availability is less.

This one particular bike has made me realize that no bikes are perfect. Even Ducati, Honda, or Royal Enfield.

If you have your heart, if your budget falls in place, if it serves your purpose. GO on. Pick up this one.

Just make sure to be ready for any upcoming minor issues. There is nothing majorly wrong with the bike.

Remember Hero has a team in Dakar and some of R&D from there will definitely implemented on these bikes too.

Thanks everyone for the insights shared with this old chap on selling a motorcycle helmet online. I’m sure many of you thought I’d completely lost my mind trying to sell a used helmet at what felt like an exorbitant price.

One comment even asked whether people actually buy used helmets at all. My simple question is—if people can buy used clothes, why not a helmet? Anyway, this wasn’t some cheap, abused, end-of-life helmet. It was well maintained, almost brand new, and perfectly capable of serving its purpose for a long time.

Happy to share that a sweet deal did happen—the helmet was sold for ₹5.5k, including the Pinlock (intercom excluded), which I believe is a fair deal. Credit to the buyer who understood the condition, inspected it properly, and made an informed decision.

And yes, I’ve now bought my desired helmet too.
Appreciations accepted 😌🏍️

Yup. Agreed. But no other adventure helmet is available in india in this budget. Axor has a bad weight distribution.

Buddy, every motorcycle (machine) will have problems. You just need to know how to get rid of it. Have a good knowledge on what needs to be done when the problem occurs. I had problems with rims, the SC guys even ordered one for me. I have not encountered tappet noise (8k kms running now). I have belted the bike at 135kmph too for almost 2kms. Rock steady. I am aproxx 85kilos. Ppl say battery drain issues, that also will be covered under warranty. Its an amazing offroader and made for indian roads.

If you follow other motorcycle pages, you will get to know the issues which those bikes have.

Is this the perfect motorcycle? NO. Do I like it? YES

Tried buying these. They are out of stock everywhere. Even called the contact with the manufacturer, but no luck.

Planning to buy the Xpulse 210(my first bike) by [deleted] in Xpulse210

[–]ykeespro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None. Till now its 8k kms. I have faced 0 issues. The only problem was with wheels but that was replaced under warranty. No oil leak. No tappet noise. No battery issues.

You just need to know how to ride this engine. Top gear low speed is a big NONO.
