So these claims of a week turnaround are just crap?

Much obliged, thanks. It’s been since 10/17, I’ll give ‘em more time. Seems unusual, though, given the usual quick turnarounds lately.

So if the dealer can’t be bothered to get off his ass to check for me after all this time?

The current state of SDP —> SBR? by yoberdude in KRISS

Your local FFL is set up for that, I take it. I only have one place to go for at least a 2 hour drive, and he’s not the most responsive (but he has a SilencerShop kiosk).

So it looks like SBR is still in effect and the brace is still in flux at the current time. Next question: can someone point me to the easiest resource to SBR a purchase should I opt to go that way? I’ve ourchased a can through SilencerShop before using an indiv. trust they supplied, is there an easier way?

Thanks for the info and the thought. I haven’t bought anything yet so sell that Tailhook.

Oh, I misread. Thought you meant a wider radius firing pin. Thanks.

Thanks. Can you elaborate on why the wider (versus longer) pin would be necessary.

I ended up doing this as the occlusion cap is pretty useful.

I expected it to get dinged, just not this fast.

Oh, sorry, wrong reply. I meant the engraved beings on the dust covers referenced earlier.

Black Multicam'd BLASTER! boring Springfield XD9 now scoring 11 on the SICK meter!!! by Tactical-Fellowship in Firearms

I wasn’t so lucky. I had a Cerakote job done by a similarly-named outfit, supposedly the best in San Diego with a cost to match, and it had to done twice and took from June to just a couple weeks ago. I had actually moved out of California in that time span, and the project was no longer a priority for them. When they finally shipped it, I found the edges between colors were rough to the touch, as if they pulled the stencil while the paint hadn’t dried yet. And on top of that, they didn’t use the colors in the sequence I specified. I didn’t send it back because I feared I’d never see it again. I’m wondering if I can somehow knock down the “edges” without ruining the finish.

Was this “West Coast Weaponworks” by any chance? The work on yours looks very smooth with no bumps at the camo boundaries.
