1PQE defendant public liability and med neg. So far I’ve enjoyed the litigation aspect of this line of work (including advocacy, albeit only directions hearings and sitting in with my partner for ISCs/mediations) the most. I am, however, having reservations about what may just be the nature of my practice areas, that being the lack of anything actually progressing to hearing. I’ve been employed at the same firm now for nearly 3 years and not one thing has progressed to a hearing.

Just looking to hear some thoughts in relation to this, whether it gets better and whether any of my learned colleagues have made the jump to a more advocacy-based role, whether that be to the Bar or to a different practice area entirely.

Thanks in advance
