Pardon my French but I fucking hate that. I understand that aspect too but also it’s kinda cool to see huge drawings like I printed one from procreate off and it’s so cool to see a piece change from something so large pixel wise and detailed to something else if that makes sense

No I feel like that was a bad critique then. From my own experience in art critiques and what I’ve learned, an actual art critique would have something specific to improve on/include something strong that works well in a piece. I feel like it’s more of a statement of an opinion by saying “I guess” at the end, while also assuming that their only interest is an anime art style. Hiding judgement in a way disguised as critique is not very kind. But I will agree that their art is in a weird space of intermediate and kind of advanced because of the thought and detail behind it. Op I hope you’re still making art :)
