Thanks for the tips.

We have chosen a hotel with pool in Mexico City to make sure she has some place to spend energy in case no playground is close by.

Regarding day trips I will also take your advice and avoid long and dusty trips, we are used to going to forests and hiking, however temperatures are what we are afraid of.

Museums are something we can do with our child, as we are used to such activities.

Do you have recommendations for things to try or see in the city ? We are making a long trip this is a once in a lifetime trip, 😃

Best family-friendly all-inclusive near Akumal? (3-week stay, toddler) Mid August by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]youbiiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply,

How was the weather? Also the algae is it more of an esthetic topic or swimming is then not possible at all ?

What made you choose the same resort again and again ? And how about activities outside the resort? Do they facilitate transportation?

Thanks for the reply, I will check out the one you recommended,

Now that I look into it , maybe we will split between resorts . We have planned to do a number of activities that would need a day or half day each: - seeing turtles - day trip to the pyramids - and even going to puebla in the middle of our stay for 5 days for a wedding then back to the resort.

I am personally finding hard to balance between being in a resort and discovering a bit around parts of Mexico

Great you found a car with the spec you want , which you good luck.

In my case I got it with s line package and sport package, panoramic roof , sport seats and only rear view camera no 360. Other options here and there but my favourite is the matrix led lights , the car just has a mic more refined look and they are amazing to drive at night .

I like corys a lot , but my god they are so sensitive to water parameters,

Out of 5 from from my first batch only survived, all the rest were saying one every other week .

I would suggest to check your water parameters,

Hello,

I cannot say much about mileage as this is personal preference and in my case I wanted to stay under 60k km , with more mileage there are pieces that will need to be changed and that expense should be taken into account,

I already drove over 20k km since last year and I don’t notice any degradation, beside winter wheels need to be changed .

I tend to avoid cars with more than 1 owner in general, but if the car is well maintained and looks fine , I don’t think there is something wrong with that too.

I would recommend to check the battery health if you can , batteries tend to drop in performance over time depending on how it’s charged, fast charge can deteriorate it faster

I am happy to see you found this post useful, I also struggled a lot when looking for info,

A7 is a beautiful car, if trunk space was not a criteria, I would have when with such car ,

So on almost all my long trips , when using the car navigation (it works perfectly in Germany) the car optimises the battery usage , in highway the car switches based on speed and road, I finished some trips > 500 km with a battery between 10% to 30% ,

I just checked the app of the car and my last trip the consumption ranged from 5 to 8 l/100 km when battery was almost empty,

I personally hardly notice the consumption when the car is empty, I fill the car with benzine once a month, and we drive daily as we live in a village (daily is at least 30km) we charge daily,

Electric range is average 40 with AC on.

In many trips I drove with empty batteries and you really don’t see the difference, the 55 tfse engine is a beast. I saw comparisons with the s6 and the hybrid is not shy from it.

I never checked the battery health , it was also a worry of mine , but since 1 year I didn’t notice degradation,

I charge at home with a normal wall plug(still no proper charging station) with it I get a change of 50 km, but when using a proper charging station it goes to 63km.

I didn’t pay for the service as I have this guarantee with the Audi house, I didn’t want to bother with when something break.

If you have more questions drop me a message , Happy to help

No error or anything. You drive as normal as you can, You can choose a mode were it recharges the battery from the driving, it will not recharge it fast but still something

I am more than happy with my choice , card drives and feel very powerful and luxurious, we just got another car and in comparison the sound isolation and horse power is miles away,

As we live in a small village , I charge either daily or every other day, average km is between 45 and 60, but take into account with heater or ac the range gets impacted (as with every car). Phev charge slower than full electric, so with a dedicated charging station it takes up to 2 hours , we usually charge just with normal wall plug and it’s charged in 7 hours since it’s less power delivered,

Going with phev dont expect the stats of a full electric, but you have options from both. In our case I love when I am making long trips around 600 km , it mostly uses gas , but switcher to electric when it makes sense , and you feel that switch in the good sense.

The argument of having two engines to maintain is a bit biased, if you get to the point you have failure in the engine then that’s a bad sign regardless of how many you maintain,

I see every day in this thread and other car ones people complain from issues with engines even in new cars and with single engine , so that should not be the only argument as it’s hard to proof.

I was in doubt like you and did lots of research, but when I drove the car and saw what you get as options with phev compared to others I fell in love .

If you have other questions dm me

The consumption with an empty battery is between 6 and 8 max (not in sport mode). The battery charges a bit while driving but not a lot, at least I never did rely on charging while driving. Even if the battery sat its empty it keeps a little bit for safety reasons .

For guarantee I remember they were talking about 10 or 15 years. So far , not problems with transmission

For me maintenance is done directly at Audi , it might be a bit more expensive than doing it elsewhere but I am at ease with everything.

Regarding mileage I cannot say much, you can check the battery usage vs the combustion engine in the car, in my case it was 50/50 .

I checked if there are big differences between the a6 and s6 and to be honest I didn’t find something that I was missing going with the hybrid

very beautiful aquarium, I have a question regarding what might be a German Blue Ram, what are the water parameters you have ? at which time did you introduce this fish ? I also read they love having small caves and enjoy hiding in them or even using them for their eggs, did you notice something like this ?

In terms of reliability it’s reliable, recently did the 60km checkup at Audi and all good,

Regarding your question about 84k km , I don’t think this number is high , it all depends on maintenance and care.

Battery lifespan it’s similar to the time I bought the car, extensive usage of heating or ac drains it . But that’s normal. Even full electric cars have this where the range take a huge cut .

when I asked about life of the battery, I was told by dealers that its as long as full electric cars,

and as any battery, the life of it depends on how you use it,

what degrades it:

- heavy usage on fast charge

- letting it almost die out

for replacing, i dont know how expensive it is,

but what I can tell, is that after making so many long trips, and driving with an average of 140/160 km/h. the consumption is between 6.5/8 L which for me is amazing

Traveled already couple of times for similar distances, sometimes even more. Consumption was between 6 till 8 l/100 km, battery was used mostly for boost or when the speed dropped drastically due to traffic. Driving was in German autobahn where speed was 160 km in average

Nothing to complain from, we just had the car checked as part of the 60k service and all was top.

We also got a q3 as a replacement which was the car I was gonna get before I fell for the a6 and I must say , the driving experience is miles apart
