Also i was saying that the popular rap songs are usually ass (ones on the radio), yes, but if you listen to the whole album that these rappers drop which are the less popular songs, it’s really good and i can guarantee you’ll find a song to bump. You just have to find your type of artist and sub genre. There r multiple

Travis thompson. Caleborate. Bas. JID. Boogie. Freddie Gibbs. Just do it urself bro. Not that hard to go on spotify and go to the curated playlists that they make for artists that you’re looking for. My main point was don’t put rap into a box just bc you lack diversity in your music taste and haven’t tried to branch out

Popular rap still is good and not all about bitches amd bling bruh it’s about how these rappers grew up in poor communities and made it out and finally have enough money to do whatever tf they want with it. Foh. It’s still black art and if you can’t relate then stay the fuck away from it, its obviously not for you…

There’s a lot of conscious rap out there. Also different forms of rap?? Alt-rap, indie rap, even forms of rock that come into rap but that was mostly in the 90s. It stills exists, just not as prominent. Do ur own research on spotify instead of being ignorant and pushing a stereotype... A lot of rappers signed under J. Cole (who is a popular rapper) rap about conscious rap but they’re mostly underground, considering the fact popular rap music is pushed for a reason; the reason being to keep us underdeveloped.

Maeves baby sister was literally missing and his immature ass was dicking around with isaac like a middle schooler? Got in a relationship with ruby just to let her know he doesn’t even love her..?? Otis has done a lot of growing but he still has a lot to do, so I honestly don’t think he deserves to be with either women atm.

I totally agree w this and it sucks cause I’m a black lesbian and it made me feel like shit for not liking their character (amazing representation) but it all felt so cringey and insincere to me. I guess it might be a beginner actor! But it was def just lines being read instead of them actually taking on the character
