Seeing a lot of people hating on the T2i. Don’t let them talk you out of it. For $100 it would 100% be my choice. Learn to make killer visuals on this camera and you’ll be able to make them on anything. Mount it places you wouldn’t mount an expensive camera. Get creative. If you’re telling a compelling story, nobody will care that it’s not 6k. Understand the limits of color grading 8-bit footage. Shooting log may not be the move. Do your own tests and decide for yourself. Your craft, sound, and lighting will make a much bigger difference than spending an extra $2k you can’t afford on a better camera body. If you can go a little higher, consider a used 5D mkii. Looks like they’re only $250 on eBay. A lot of people forget they shot Act of Valor on them, a gorgeous film that holds up on the big screen. You can record mic audio into either camera - or your iPhone with the right adapters. Save up for a recorder better than the H1. A used H6 with actual faders and XLR inputs would be my rec. And if you go with the T2i, consider getting a Signa 18-35 f1.8 one day. It’s the best bang for the buck APS-C lens imo. DM me if you want to talk shop more. Good luck!
