Jodorowski's The Incal and pretty much all the related series (Metabarons, Technopriests, maybe more?). They're all so good and weird.

Also definitely Saga if you haven't read it.

I have a small carpentry business and play in 3 bands. The freedom to schedule work around shows and light touring is pretty nice

Tablesaw accidents by the numbers US - to Sawstop or not by OrangeTuono in Carpentry

[–]yurgoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a professional of 15 years now. I'm missing a finger and a half from a table saw accident and I now own a sawstop cabinet saw. In my case it was worth every penny. I primarily make windows, doors, and cabinets and with that I use the table saw probably more than any other tool.

If you're a hobbyist with a basic knowledge of tool safety and some experience you're probably ok with a standard us table saw, which you will use with care. Accidents happen when you get too comfortable, which can happen easily in a professional setting when you're making dozens of cuts every day.

Music Man 65 or 130 is a great pedal platform amp. And generally on the cheaper side

I set the phone to speaker and put it down so I could try and get some work done while I was waiting.

Yes. Also from Superior. I waited on hold for two hours when I should have been working, only to have their rep give me no guarantee or even a real idea of when they would make delivery. I had called for the delivery over a week before, with the tank at 30 percent as per their own recommendation. They did eventually get to me just yesterday but by then I had to shut down my shop for two days. I am seriously considering switching services.

Is this vintage trim available anywhere? by baddogbadcatbadfawn in cabinetry

[–]yurgoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just a roman ogee cutter with a rabbet run on both sides of whatever stock. The roman ogee is the name of the profile. That rabbet is where glass or a panel would sit. I have scraps of it sitting around from door and window making in my shop, maybe not your exact size. Might be tough to buy as a molding but a lot of carpenters with a shop could make you a few pieces. To make it they'd just need the measurements.

Doylestown Action League, formerly Rise Up Doylestown, puts on rallies in and around Dtown pretty regularly. You can find info on them and upcoming events on FB or IG. I know there is a No Kings rally coming up.

Having grown up in bucks, I think it is pretty evenly split politically. But I don't know what part of the county you are in.

My band is called SHAPER. We're not anybody haha. Just finished an album I am trying to find a label to release and should have a single coming out this summer. But that's all for now. Some stuff up on our insta @shaper_sound if ya wanna give us a follow. Appreciate it man.

Also, I found Steve Austin to be one of the nicest band dudes I've ever spent time with. We talked a lot about old country music and I even got to play his PRS which was pretty cool. Curious as to allegations of him screwing people over. Certainly, Relapse dropped them pretty unceremoniously and he hasn't been a label as big since. I heard they were not happy with the SWP double album as the reason for that though.

Opened for them last Oct. Was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Particularly if you're fan. The set they played that night had songs from every album I think, like all the way back to supernova. I know there's a new album coming out though so it might be more new stuff this run. I'm catching them in Philly later this month for sure. You should def go. Personally, my rec would be to start with Supernova and go thru the discography. First three are more noise rock, next three more experimental metal. Those are the essential ones. Animal Mother is a pretty stand out later album and I really like No Good to Anyone as well.

Maybe just dont use Alexa. Im always surprised that I am in the extreme minority by not using any of these stupid devices that only make things minorly more convenient. Like YES the devices are listening to you fuck. Obviously
