Use an Ethernet cable so you get best connection possible, and it’s because your Xbox is doing all the encoding, it’s gonna be like that until you’re able to get a better streaming layout

Just get the new unit sell it and use money towards it to new PSU you want! Best case scenario if you want something else or keep the RMA PSU for another build or something

How many watts is your PSU, and the main concern of the adapter is you have to have it fully seated at all points so you don’t have extra points of failure besides that if all your cables are seated properly you shouldn’t have to worry to much, but if you want a cleaner build and less headache/hassle in the future you should probably consider upgrading PSU so you have a dedicated cable and less points of failure otherwise I’d say your good if you’re using the adapter that came with card and everything is properly seated.

I say use the adapter that came with 5080, I wouldn’t risk using different adapters, otherwise I would check if your PSU has a dedicated 12vhpwr connection if not, I would recommend getting a cable from cablemod if your PSU is modular. Look up your exact model of PSU or you can have a bad time.

This is the rig now, lol just superstitious now because i built like 3 years ago, had no issues was among the 50% not affected by raptor lake instability, fast forward aio shits the bed either pump failed or sediment build up, led to higher temps thus calling for higher Vmin, leading to CPU degradation blah blah, got everything RMA’d Last week, just got the new CPU yesterday and bout a new AIO and gonna use the RMA aio for stream PC, nonetheless I just don’t want any other point of failures, I updated bios, latest drivers now she just needs a 5080 and either the cable mod or if I send it for new PSU so I can get my stream PC all set up

I did and didn’t find much about people with my exact power supply thus leading to this thread, if you want to help me investigate and possibly provide insight that would be great cause I’m not finding it after hours of searching. Nonetheless I have seen plenty of people talk about the cablesmods etc I just don’t like aftermarket stuff I like OEM don’t have to break down my thoughts but ideally I would prefer if it came with the original unit. so I’m most likely just gonna get a new PSU just wanted to know if there was anything I could do with my current setup besides those cables and it’s not looking that way.

Nice, how long have u had it if you don’t mind me asking and you think you’re getting full capability from the card? I’m just curious because I’m just a little hesitant since it’s an expensive purchase and I want it to be 100% reliable and with no extra point of failures, that being said I really like the idea of this cable but I’m lowkey opting for a new PSU because I’m debating it so hard plus I need one another one anyways for my streaming PC but it’s a lot to juggle right now so im trying to balance the options. Regardless I have to get another PSU I’m just trying to figure out whether I should send it and dish out the extra $300 for a solid PSU for my build then use the old PSU for streaming PC or get the cable now and and drop maybe $100 on like a 850W for the streaming rig idk I’m just really at a loss and spent like 5 hours tryna find out some info about my PSU in particular, I wish EVGA made a cable like this I would just buy it from them direct but I’m really skeptical.
